With the full implementation of the two child policy, the one-child policy, which lasted for more than 40 years, came to an end.The first generation of only children are currently adults, and their parents are gradually entering their old age. However, due to the accidental death of an only child, parents are unable to have a second child due to physiological limitations, resulting in families losing their only child. For families who have lost their only child, losing their only child is equivalent to losing their future support. They not only suffer a significant psychological blow, but may also face difficulties such as family disintegration and social interaction difficulties. The problem faced by families without independence is not personal, but a social issue that can affect the stable development of the entire society. Therefore, they need to receive more attention from the government and society to help them overcome difficulties and integrate into the social family.Especially for families with lost children living in rural areas, they are more unique than those living in urban areas. In rural areas, people have long been influenced by traditional ideas such as losing children and grandchildren, retribution, and feudal superstitions, and have some prejudice against families without independence. As a result, rural families with lost children often lack the support of the social environment, making it easier to form emotional barriers.Similarly, rural families who have lost independence have become more self isolated and disconnected from the outside world due to their severe self labeling. This study will focus on the social integration of rural families with lost independence, and based on the theory of empowerment and social support, study the social integration status of rural families with lost independence in H County,Fujian Province. The author analyzes the current situation of social integration of rural families with lost independence in H County from psychological, economic, and social perspectives. The reasons for the existence of social integration problems in rural families with lost independence are summarized as insufficient individual resilience, weakened family functions, deeply influenced by traditional concepts, insufficient social support provided, and a lack of professional social work services. In order to further search for methods to help rural families with lost independence integrate into society, the author selected a respondent for case intervention.Using the methods and techniques of the case, the author intervened in rural families with lost independence who had social integration problems, and analyzed the countermeasures to solve the social integration problems of rural families with lost independence based on the case intervention process.Using the methods of community work, planning community activities to promote the restoration of normal interpersonal communication, participation in community affairs, and strengthening connections with society for rural families who have lost independence. Finally, summarizing and reflecting on the entire research.
