| Djokovic and Nadal are two evergreen players in the tennis world. The games and matches of the two players’ professional lives for more than ten years are worth learning and reference. However, the systematic analysis of the technical and tactical characteristics of the two players in a single field is relatively lacking, and the application of sports statistics methods is relatively simple. This study combines the advantages of the two statistical methods to analyze the technical and tactical characteristics and change laws of the two players in a multi-level manner. This paper analyzes the 26 clay matches between Djokovic and Nadal from 2006 to 2021 by using literature, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis, video observation and grey correlation method to reduce the influence of courts and different opponents on the match data. This paper explores the degree of influence of various technical and tactical indexes on the total score rate of two top men’s players in the competition on clay court, and analyzes the characteristics and similarities and differences of their technical and tactical changes. At the same time,11 technical and tactical indicators are divided into service game indicators and service game indicators.TOPSIS method is used to evaluate the comprehensive performance of service game, service game and the whole match, analyze the strength of the two players in different matches, and analyze the trend of attack and defense and competitive strength in depth by combining the game video.Research results:(1)The top three indicators of the grey correlation between the technical and tactical indexes of the two players and the total score rate are the same. For Djokovic, serve score rate(0.9598),serve score rate(0.9522),serve score rate(0.9345),Nadal’s serve percentage(.9744),serve percentage(.9650)and serve percentage(.9610).(2)Djokovic’s best service game was in Monte Carlo Masters 2015(0.8622)and his worst was in French Open 2006(0.2392).The best service return performance was in Monte Carlo 2012(0.6588)and the worst was in Rome Masters 2007(0.1836).The best overall performance was at the 2012 French Open(0.6202)and the worst was at the 2012 Rome Masters(0.3049).(3)Nadal’s best service game was in 2007 Rome Masters(0.7547),and his worst was in 2012 Monte Carlo(0.3261);The best service return performance was at the 2006 French Open(0.8396),and the worst was at the 2015 French Open(0.1214).The best overall performance was at the 2007 French Open(0.6734)and the worst was at the2015 French Open(0.3579).Research conclusion:(1)The top three indexes of influence degree of two players are the same,in descending order of serving score rate, first serve score rate and serve receive score rate.Aces and double faults have the least influence on the match result; The difference is that the first-serve success rate has a greater impact on Dyo,while the first-serve winning rate has a greater impact on Nadal, and Nadal has a better grasp of the break point than Dyo.(2)Djokovic’s overall performance in service games is better than that in service games, and good service games are easier to win;In terms of comprehensive performance,it presents an inverted U-shape,with an upward period from 2006 to 2009,a peak period from 2011 to 2016,and a downward period from 2016 to 2021,showing a dynamic change trend.(3)Nadal’s performance in service games and service games is more balanced, and his performance in service games is more prominent than Djokovic’s.To sum up,Nadal’s pressure on Djokovic was more obvious in clay court matches before 2012,which was the peak. From 2012 to 2016,it was the decline period, and after 2016,it reached the peak. |
