Physical function training originally originated from the field of sports medicine, with the purpose of helping injured patients to carry out rehabilitation treatment, and then was introduced into the field of sports as a physical training method. In recent years, through the theoretical research and practical exploration of experts, scholars and front-line coaches, physical function training has achieved remarkable results in many sports in the field of competitive sports, and has been extended to the field of school sports. The Curriculum Standards for Physical Education and Health in Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)takes physical training as a special course content for grades 3-9 of compulsory education, and strengthens students’ physical quality through physical training. However, traditional physical training methods have certain limitations in junior high school physical education teaching. It is of great significance to explore scientific and more effective physical training methods for junior high school physical education reform.Based on the preliminary exploration of the application of physical function training in school physical education by predecessors, this study explored the effect of physical function training on the strength and agility of junior high school students through the methods of literature, mathematical statistics, expert interview, and experiment.Referring to the relevant theories of physical function training, and according to the actual situation of junior high school physical education teaching and the actual needs of junior high school students’ physical development, combined with expert opinions,a physical function training program for junior high school students was developed. The experimental group students used a physical function training program, while the control group students used a traditional physical training program. After 12 weeks of intervention training, the strength and agility test scores,as well as functional action screening scores of the two groups of students were compared and analyzed, and the following results were obtained:1.Strength quality test results: There were significant differences between the two groups in the scores of throwing solid ball, standing long jump, push up(male),knee bend push up(female)and knee bend up(P<0.05);but there was no significant difference in the scores of squat up(P>0.05).2.Agility test results: 10 meters for two groups of students×4.There were significant differences in the results of turn-back run, quadrant jump and 15-second vertical and horizontal support(P<0.05).3.Functional action screening score: there was a very significant difference between the two groups in the scores of hurdle crossing, straight split squat, shoulder flexibility, and body rotation stability(P<0.01);the scores of active leg lifting(P<0.05);the scores of squat and trunk stability push-ups were not significantly different(P>0.05);and the total scores were very significant differences(P<0.01).4.Correlation analysis results of strength quality and agility: Students in the experimental group squat up and 10 meters×4.There was no correlation between turn back running, quadrant jump and 15-second standing and lying support(P>0.05);Throw solid ball and 10 meters×4.There was a significant positive correlation between the turn back run(P<0.05)and the quadrant jump and the 15-second standing and lying support(P<0.01);Standing long jump and 10 meters×4.There was a significant positive correlation between turn back running(P<0.01),standing and lying up for 15 seconds(P<0.05),and there was no correlation with quadrant jump(P>0.05);Push up(male),knee bend push up(female),knee bend sit-ups and 10meters×4.There was no correlation between turn back running, quadrant jump and15-second standing and lying support(P>0.05).Based on the results, the following conclusions are drawn:1.Compared with the traditional physical training, the physical function training has a more significant effect in promoting the fast strength and strength endurance of junior high school students, while there is no obvious difference between the two training methods in promoting the maximum strength.2.Compared with traditional physical training, physical function training has shown more significant effects in improving junior high school students’ ability to change movement direction in fast running, control body balance in fast jumping and quickly change physical posture.3.Compared with traditional physical training, physical function training shows more obvious advantages in improving the asymmetrical movement mode of junior high school students, while there is no obvious difference between the two training methods in the symmetrical movement mode.4.After 12 weeks of physical function training, there is a significant positive correlation between fast strength and agility of junior high school students. When fast strength is improved, the agility will also be improved.
