| The 2022 Compulsory Education Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standard incorporates rope skipping into the content of the teaching curriculum of primary and secondary schools and regards it as a basic motor skill and physical fitness training program.Jumping rope practice for primary and secondary school students not only helps to stimulate students’ interest in participating in sports actively and cultivate their sense of innovation, but also enhances students’ various physical qualities.Research shows that jumping rope training can improve the agility, balance, coordination and speed of elementary school students, but the change of jumping rope form and jumping rope time can promote the development of which physical quality needs to be further studied. In this study,we investigated the effect of jumping rope training on speed quality and the effect of jumping rope training on speed quality of elementary school students by using a 12-week jump rope training intervention, combining the sensitive period of speed quality development with two-legged alternate jump rope training and two-legged side-by-side jump rope training. In this study,we used literature method, expert interview method, questionnaire method, experimental method and mathematical and statistical method to study two classes of fifth grade students in Huayang Primary School(Linhe East)Campus,Guangzhou City,in which the fifth grade(2)class was the experimental group, and the fifth grade(4)class was the control group, and the two-legged jumping rope was used. The difference between the two groups of students’ speed quality test indexes before and after the experiment was analyzed. The results of the study are as follows:(1)displacement speed: the P-values of50 m running and 10m×4 folding run indexes before and after the experiment showed very significant differences between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.01);there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in the displacement speed test indexes after the experiment(P<0.05).(2)Movement speed: The P-values of 10-second high lift and 30-second rope skipping indexes before and after the experiment showed highly significant differences between the experimental group and the control group(P < 0.01);the displacement speed test indexes between the experimental group and the control group after the experiment showed significant differences between the 10-second high lift(P < 0.05)and the 30-second rope skipping(P < 0.01).(3)Reaction speed: The P-values of the reaction scale indexes of the experimental group and the control group before and after the experiment showed significant differences(P < 0.05);there was no significant difference between the groups of the reaction scale test indexes of the experimental group and the control group after the experiment(P > 0.05).According to the results, the following conclusions were drawn:(1)the displacement speed and movement speed of the experimental group and the control group before and after the experiment were very significantly different, and the reaction speed was significantly different, which showed that the two feet alternate rope skipping training and two feet jumping rope training had significant effect on the improvement of speed quality of the fifth grade students.(2)In the improvement of displacement speed and movement speed, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group after the experiment, which showed that compared with the two-legged jump rope training, the two-legged alternate jump rope training had a better effect on the improvement of displacement speed and movement speed of the fifth grade students.(3)In the improvement of reaction speed, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group after the experiment, which indicated that there was no significant difference between the two-legged alternate jump rope training and the two-legged side-by-side jump rope training in improving the reaction speed of the fifth grade students. |
