| Family is the basic cell of society and the first school in life.Family harmony is an important influencing factor for the healthy growth of minors and the prosperity and development of society.Attention must be paid to the construction of family,family education,and family ethos.However,in the current social environment,the absence of a father has become a common phenomenon,seriously affecting the normal order and function of the family.Regarding the absence of father,there are mainly two types of absence: physical and psychological.Physical absence refers to physical and spatial absence caused by divorce,father’s death,or father’s going out to work,and other reasons;Psychological vacancy refers to the situation where fathers and children are emotionally distant,have little communication with their children,or often use unreasonable methods such as beating and scolding to treat their children.In recent years,the emergence of a highly critical online buzzword "widowed parenting" from the perspective of women has caused widespread concern about the absence of fathers.The absence of a father not only leads to the loss of paternity among minor children,but also leads to abnormalities in the individual psychology,personality,and behavior of minor children,affecting interpersonal and social development,as well as affecting marital relationships and worsening family conflicts.The father vacancy studied in this article refers to the phenomenon that in a normal family,although the father himself is present,he has little or no involvement in the child’s education and emotional communication during the child’s growth process,lacks companionship time,lacks communication,and has an impact on the child’s growth,leading to complaints from his spouse and numerous family conflicts.This article takes a family with a father absence phenomenon in the XL community as a case study,using the entire family as a service object,and using the structured family therapy model,starting from the problems and needs of the family,explores the intervention advantages of the structured family therapy model in promoting fathers’ participation in the education and emotional communication process of children in families with father absence,and solving a series of problems that arise in the family.The author first reviews the relevant literature on structured family therapy and father absence,and then focuses on the practical process of intervention of structured family therapy in father absence families to promote father participation in childcare and treatment of sick family structures in families.Social workers divide the intervention process into four stages: establishing professional relationships and expanding the family’s construction of issues,exploring negative family interaction patterns,reconstructing family structures,consolidating new family structures,and exiting the family.The main goals are as follows: First,to change the current situation of the family where the father is absent,to enhance the awareness of the father to accompany and educate children,and to improve the unhealthy father-child relationship in the family;The second is to help the parents of the family master methods of communication and communication,promoting harmonious marital relations;The third is to clarify the boundaries of the family husband wife system and eliminate joint confrontation.Finally,the author summarized and reflected on this case work,discussed the compatibility of structural family therapy intervention in fatherless families,the effectiveness of family system and social learning theory in solving the problem of fatherless families,and reflected on the importance of grasping the life event opportunities of the clients and the influence of professional level on the therapeutic effect.It is hoped that this study can provide practical experience for social work to intervene in families with absent fathers,promote fathers’ participation in the growth and education process of minor children,solve family problems,and restore family functions. |
