| Parental autonomy support is a kind of positive parenting style,in which parents stand in the child’s point of view, let their children actively participate in decision-making and provide them with choices, opportunities or suggestions.Mathmatics involvement is the combination of the use of math learning strategies, the degree of effort in math learning and the emotional experience in math learning.Parental autonomy support and Mathmatics involvement have a great impact on math academic performance. This paper uses the seventh grade students of a middle school in Zhengzhou as samples, assigns parental autonomy support to math background, and explores the basic situation of parental autonomy support and investment in math learning perceived by students through questionnaire survey and interview analysis method. This paper studies the influence of parental autonomy support on math learning perceived by students in the context of math learning, explores the relationship between parental autonomy support and math academic performance, and proposes targeted improvement strategies to finally achieve the purpose of improving math academic performance. The research procedure is as follows: First, the questionnaire survey is carried out in the way of class collective testing, and the relationship between parents’ independent support and involvement in mathematics learning perceived by seventh grade students and their academic performance in mathematics is investigated. In the second step,9 students with stable answers in the questionnaire were selected for interview research by semi-structured interview. Finally, for the 3 students who perceived low parental independent support in math learning, video communication was conducted with their parents and suggestions were given. The parents made improvements according to the suggestions.A month later, the 3 students were visited again to test their change.Based on the above survey results, conclusions are drawn and targeted suggestions and strategies are put forward.Through the above analysis, the following research conclusions can be drawn:1.Grade 7 students have a good sense of parental autonomous support in math learning. It shows that students in grade 7 can better perceive the support and encouragement from their parents and allow them to make their own decisions in math learning. The overall level of the seventh grade students’ involvement in mathematics learning is high.In the three sub-dimensions of the involvement in mathematics learning, the score of the seventh grade students’ behavioral participation is higher than that of cognitive participation and emotional participation. The seventh grade students are willing to make efforts in mathematics learning, but lack math learning strategies and have a low level of love for mathematics.2.There is a significant positive correlation between seventh grade students’ perceived parental autonomous support in mathematics learning and their academic performance in mathematics. There is a significant positive correlation between the mathematics learning involvement and the number of sub-dimensions and the academic performance of seventh grade students. There is a significant positive correlation between parents’ autonomous support perceived by seventh grade students and their involvement in mathematics learning and their sub-dimensions.3.Taking seventh grade students’ perceived parental independent support in math learning as the predictive variable, math learning input as the mediating variable, and math academic performance as the outcome variable, the mediation effect test is conducted. It is found that math learning input plays a partial mediating role between parents’ independent support and math academic performance. The above results show that parents’ independent support has a great influence on students’ mathematics learning, and the involvement in mathematics learning plays an important mediating role. The improvement strategies are as follows: according to the individual differences of students,it is suggested that parents should respect, accept and understand students in math learning and provide specific operation plans,so as to enhance the parents’ independent support perceived by students in math learning from multiple ways and angles;Make full use of the mediating role of math learning engagement, pay attention to gender differences, pay attention to the seventh grade transition stage, help students to complete the transformation of math learning style, improve students’ math learning engagement. Finally, the goal is to improve the academic performance of mathematics. |
