Lifelong learning is the most influential and guiding educational concept in the international community,and it is the guiding ideology for the formulation of educational policies and promulgating educational directives all over the world.People should establish the concept of lifelong learning and cultivate the ability of lifelong learning to adapt to the ever-developing social environment.Reading is an important way of lifelong learning.Reading habit is of great significance to students’ lifelong learning.The improvement of reading ability of senior primary school students is a key period for cultivating reading habits.Therefore,this paper analyzes the problems existing in the reading habits of senior primary school students under the concept of lifelong learning,explores the influencing factors,and discusses how to cultivate students’ reading habits more effectively to promote their lifelong learning and development.Based on the literature review of "lifelong learning" and "reading habits",this study understands the concept of lifelong learning,summarizes the far-reaching significance,rich content and diverse approaches of lifelong learning,emphasizes the characteristics of autonomy and application,and combines the reading requirements of the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)for senior primary school students.In conclusion,under the concept of lifelong learning,we should cultivate the reading habits of senior primary school students from five aspects: reading attitude,reading content,reading channels,reading strategies and reading output.According to these five dimensions,the questionnaire was designed to conduct a sample random survey on senior primary school students in the three districts and three counties of Nanchong City.The interview outline of teachers and parents was designed to interview teachers and parents,so as to understand the reading habits of senior primary school students under the concept of lifelong learning.Through descriptive statistical analysis,difference analysis and regression analysis,it is found that the overall reading habit of senior primary school students is in the middle level,and the reading habit needs to be improved.To understand the differences of students’ reading habits in gender,school location,position or not,and Chinese academic level;Students’ reading attitude is not optimistic;The width,breadth and depth of reading content are not enough,the utilization rate of reading channels is low,the application of reading strategies is not in place,and the reading output is single.According to the survey,explore the internal and external reasons for the problems in the reading habits of senior primary school students,internal reasons:utilitarian reading motivation;Lack of awareness of extensive reading;Not taking full advantage of multiple reading channels;Perfunctory application of reading strategies;The power of reading output is insufficient.External reasons: lack of guidance of reading attitude of "why to read";Improper intervention of reading content of "what to read";Limited access to "where to read";"How to read" reading method guidance is insufficient;The reading output of "What to do after reading" lacks communication expression space,etc.Aiming at the problems and causes in the cultivation of reading habits of senior primary school students,this study corrects students’ reading attitude under the concept of lifelong learning;Enrich students’ reading content;Open up students’ reading channels;Guide students to use reading strategies;The author puts forward the specific strategies to cultivate the reading habits of senior students in primary schools from five aspects.In order to stimulate students’ reading enthusiasm,improve reading ability,cultivate reading habits,for students’ lifelong learning escort.
