Combining history education and ideological and political education is a new exploration of the Party’s ideological education in the new era.Integrating “Four Histories” education into the work of moral education in colleges and universities is not only the need to do a good job of ideological and political education of college students,but also the adherence to and development of the Party’s excellent revolutionary tradition.Facing the increasingly complicated domestic and international environment and many undesirable social trends,colleges and universities must firmly establish the direction of moral education.They should emphasize the role of “Four Histories” education in leading the ideology of college students and provide innovative ways for the ideological and political education work in the new historical orientation.Cultivating virtues is the goal of education pursued by colleges and universities and it is also an important standard for college students to grow and become talented.“Four Histories” education plays an important role in ideological and political education reform.The basic connotation of moral education and “Four Histories”education is not only compatible,but also interactive,which reflects the feasibility of carrying out “Four Histories” education for college students with the goal of moral education.In order to effectively carry out the “Four Histories” education,universities should follow the teaching requirements of correct political direction as the fundamental principle,moral cultivation as the core pursuit,and scientific dialectical thinking as the basic compliance.Universities should start from the goal of training qualified socialist builders,new age youth and young Marxists so that students can correctly understand the following contents that why the Communist Party of China“can”,why the development of new China is “fast”,why socialism with Chinese characteristics is “good” and why Marxism “does”.“Four Histories” education is a gradual process and the education model tends to be mature and diversified.Through investigation and research,it is found that the “Four Histories” education of college students is improving day by day and the mainstream education view is positive.However,the problems of “Four Histories” education need to be solved,such as lack of deep understanding of concepts,single teaching mode and lack of practical education.After in-depth study,it is found that the reasons for these problems lie in three aspects:the incomplete concept of education,the imbalance of teaching positions and the fragmentation of education mechanism.Therefore,the construction of educational concepts,specific educational paths and mechanisms has become the focus of optimizing the “Four Histories” education of college students.It can ensure that the“Four Histories” education follow the direction of moral education.It is also conducive to the long-term development of the “Four Histories” education pursued with the goal of moral education and human development.The study places the education of the “Four Histories” in the context of moral education and takes college students as the education target.The goal of the study is to examine the current situation of the “Four Histories” education and consider how to optimize the path of the education of the “Four Histories”.It is an important issue in the ideological and political education of colleges and universities nowadays to reflect the contemporary value of “Four Histories” education.The educational resources contained in the “Four Histories” can provide a more perfect and contemporary value guidance function for the work of moral education.Therefore,the “Four Histories”education in colleges and universities is the concrete implementation of the ideal and belief education oriented by moral education and it has important contemporary significance and practical value.
