Labor education has become an important way to cultivate talents in higher education, and the curriculum,as the best carrier of labor education in universities, plays a very important role in teaching labor knowledge, improving labor skills, and correcting labor dynamics.Along with the integration of labor education and higher education in China, the curriculum-based development of university labor education has begun to bear fruit, but there is still a need for continuous improvement in the objectives, contents, implementation, and evaluation of labor education courses.By comparing and analyzing specific cases of labor education curricula in Japanese,American, and German universities, the study summarizes the characteristics of their labor education curricula and explores the optimization paths that can help the development of labor education curricula in Chinese universities.Based on Marxist labor education thought, empirical theory, and labor school theory, and with the help of the literature analysis method, the development history and current situation of labor education courses in Japan, the United States, and Germany are sorted out.Through the comparative research method and case study method, the current situation of labor education courses at Waseda University in Japan,Michigan State University in the United States, and the Technical University of Berlin in Germany are elaborated from the background of labor education, curriculum objectives, curriculum design and operation, and curriculum implementation effect, and the similarities and differences in goal setting, content construction, teaching methods, and curriculum evaluation are combined, and the successful experience of curriculum development is summarized. After comparing the labor education courses of the three colleges and universities,it is found that their courses can be deepened mainly due to four aspects. In terms of curriculum objectives, although the emphasis is different,it is always based on the actual situation of the country, respects the main body of students, and comprehensively considers the three dimensions of knowledge, skills, and values; In terms of course content,it pays attention to students’ cognitive stage and actual career needs, emphasizes the interprofessional integration of labor education, and reflects the intersectional, comprehensive and practical nature of labor education courses. In terms of curriculum teaching, modular and interdisciplinary teaching is used, focusing on team collaboration and emphasizing the practical effect of the entire teaching process; In terms of course evaluation, clarify course evaluation standards, establish a comprehensive evaluation system, advocate multi-subject evaluation,multi-form evaluation, and overall evaluation, emphasizing the combination of the formative and final evaluation, and ensure the objectivity, scientificity, and accuracy of evaluation.Based on the characteristics of the development of labor education courses in China, combined with the successful experience of labor education curriculum development in three foreign universities, explore a path conducive to the development of labor education courses in Chinese universities. In terms of the curriculum system,it is necessary to rely on local characteristics to build a unique labor education curriculum system for the university; In the implementation of the curriculum,it is necessary to optimize the curriculum model and realize the integrated development of labor education practice and individuals; In course evaluation,it is necessary to adhere to multiple evaluations and improve the evaluation mechanism of university labor education courses.
