| Learning quality is an important dimension to measure children’s readiness for school,an important condition for children to achieve academic achievement,and affects children’s growth and development imperceptibly.The Guide to the Learning and Development of Children aged 3-6 points out that the cultivation of children’s learning quality should be paid attention by parents,kindergartens and all sectors of society.In the early childhood stage,the development of learning quality is particularly important.Previous studies have explored the factors affecting children’s learning quality and the strategies to cultivate children’s learning quality from the perspective of curriculum activities,corner activities,outdoor games,teacher evaluation or any parent in kindergarten.Few studies have explored the influence of parents’ co-parenting on children’s learning quality and its internal pathway mechanism.As an important person in the growth of children,the establishment of a good cooperative nurturing relationship is of irreplaceable value to the development of children’s learning quality.Therefore,based on identity theory and developmental scenario theory,550 children and their parents in a city were selected as research objects in this study.Questionnaire survey was adopted to explore the influence of mother’s gatekeeping behavior and father’s involvement in parenting on children’s learning quality,as well as the mediating role of father’s involvement in parenting during the influence process.Data analysis results show that:1.The mother’s gatekeeping behavior is above the average level,and the score of opening the door is higher than that of closing the door.The father’s participation in parenting is generally above the average level,and the development of all dimensions is unbalanced.Encouragement and praise score the highest,reflection and explanation.2.Children’s learning quality is generally above the average level,and the development of all dimensions is unbalanced.In this study,there are significant differences in children’s learning quality in children’s grade,mother’s educational level,mother’s monthly income and father’s age,father’s monthly income and father’s educational level.There is no significant difference in children’s learning quality in child sex,mother’s age,mother’s occupation and father’s occupation.3.The door-opening and door-closing behaviors of mothers are significantly correlated with children’s learning quality and father’s participation in parenting.4.The door-opening behavior of mothers in gatekeeping behavior significantly positively predicts children’s learning quality and father’s participation in parenting;the door-closing behavior of mothers in gatekeeping behavior significantly negatively predicts children’s learning quality and father’s participation in parenting;father’s participation in parenting significantly positively predicts children’s learning quality.5.Father’s involvement in parenting plays a partial mediating role in the influence of mother’s gatekeeping behavior on children’s learning quality.According to the conclusion,this study suggests that families should optimize the collaborative parenting environment to promote the development of children’s learning quality.Kindergartens should provide scientific parenting guidance and pay attention to the cultivation of children’s learning quality;The society should give full play to the guiding role of the government,improve the parenting ability and other educational suggestions. |
