| The online Master of Education program is a new form of training high-level talents in an online manner.The in-depth integration of Internet information technology and high-level academic degree education has promoted the emergence of online master’s degree programs.The United States began to explore online master of education programs earlier,and has rich construction experience in program development.After more than 30 years of development,the online Master of Education program in the United States has gradually matured,and its quality has also been widely recognized.The development of online higher degree education in China started early,but online degree education at the postgraduate level has not yet developed,and there is no more mature and perfect online postgraduate education training model.With the rapid development of Internet technology,the attention of the government and the huge demand of the public,the call for online master’s degree education in my country has become stronger and stronger.In addition,online postgraduate education will also become an important opportunity for my country to build a lifelong education system and promote the transformation and development of postgraduate education in the future.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop my country’s online master’s degree education by in-depth analysis of the online education master’s program in the United States,and to explore its vertical evolution and practical exploration and development.Taking into account both historical and realistic development,this research takes the American Online Education Master’s program as the research object.Based on the theory of Connectivism and the theory of disruptive innovation,the case study method,the comparative study method and the literature research method are used to carry out the research in a combination of dots and lines.The rise and development of the Master of Education program,and in-depth case analysis of the practice of the two types of online Master of Education programs,and then extracting the characteristics of their rise and development to provide reference and inspiration for our country.Specifically,first of all,systematically sort out the development process of the online education master’s program in the United States.Secondly,applying the case study method,from the aspects of production background,training process,evaluation system,quality assurance,etc.,to the most typical and representative two types of programs in the development process of the American online master’s degree program-Western Governors University’s online program This paper analyzes the operation mode of the M.Ed.program and the online M.Ed.program of the University of Maryland Global Campus,and summarizes the characteristics of the two types of cases.Finally,it integrates the vertical development process and practical experience of the two types of cases,summarizes and refines the development experience of the U.S.online Master of Education program,and puts forward the enlightenment for our country: first,explore flexible enrollment methods;second,promote the supporting curriculum system Third,promote the updating of education and teaching methods;fourth,establish and improve the learning support service system;fifth,actively promote the mutual recognition of credits and professional certification. |
