Based on the wide classification in cheerleading programs, the focus of this paper is on the most typical of dance cheerleading, the pom-pom cheerleading program.Flower ball cheerleading is also the most popular and most common compared to the other three disciplines. The lower body pace, difficulty, and skill are one of the important components of the dance cheerleading choreography, and the lower body strength and technique must be strengthened in order to improve the performance of dance cheerleading. This paper takes the composite training method as the starting point to explore the effect of its use in the cheerleading program, and to test the effect on the athletes’ special technical level and physical quality,so as to provide reference and reference for the development of lower body strength training in the cheerleading sport. The study used literature method, expert interview method, questionnaire method, experimental method and mathematical and statistical method. The preliminary analysis of the lower limb strength and technical movements to improve the cheerleading performance of flower ball dance was conducted, the training principle and mechanism of the compound training method were analyzed in depth, and the application method and training process of "compound" were constructed,24 female cheerleaders were selected from the cheerleading team of Changzhi College. The total number of samples was 24,divided into experimental group(12)and control group(12).In the experimental group, compound training method was used for training, while in the control group, traditional single resistance training was used for training. Before the experiment, the basic information of the athletes in both groups were tested for statistics, flexibility, physical function, and sets of movements to ensure that there were no significant differences in the indexes between the two groups before the experiment.A total of12 weeks of compound training,3 times a week, was used to test the lower body strength and set scores.By comparing and analyzing the performance of the experimental and control groups before and after the experiment, the following conclusions can be drawn:1.Through 12 weeks of three weekly composite training and traditional single resistance training, there was a significant difference in the performance of the complete movement score. The P value was <0.05,and the improvement of the experimental group was greater than that of the control group. The compound training effect is more advantageous than the single resistance training.2.Through the 12-week composite training and the traditional single resistance training, the difference between the performance of the athletes in situ was significant.P <0.05.From the mean value, the improvement of the experimental group was greater than that of the control group. The compound training effect is more advantageous than the single resistance training.3.Through 12 weeks,3 times a week in compound training and traditional single resistance training, both groups showed significant changes in improvement in kneeling index,P value < 0.05,while in the post-experimental period, the changes in both groups were not significant,P value > 0.05,and both improved the kneeling performance of cheerleaders.4.After 12 weeks and 3 weekly compound training and the traditional single resistance training, the improvement of 50 M sprint running index was changed very significantly. The P value was less than 0.01,but there was no significant difference between them after the experiment, and the P value was greater than0.05,which could improve the 50 M sprint running performance of cheerleading athletes.5.Through the 12-week composite training three times a week and the traditional single resistance training, there was a significant difference between the two groups in the 1 RM weight squat index, and the P value was less than 0.05.According to the average value, the composite training is more effective than the traditional resistance training.6.Through 12 weeks,3 times a week, the compound training is more advantageous than the traditional single resistance training in the performance of the single-leg stand index of the flower ball cheerleaders, there is a significant difference between the two groups after the experiment, the P value is less than0.05,and from its mean situation, the experimental group has a significantly higher growth than the control group.7.After 12 weeks of experimental intervention, the results of the experimental group questionnaire showed that 91.7% of the team members had a supportive attitude towards the "compound training".91.7% of the lower limb strength and movement skills thought that the use of "compound training" was improved,and100% of the complete movement scores and technical skills had a positive impact;75% thought that it had a positive impact on the explosive force.83.3% thought it had a positive impact on endurance, and 66.7% of the team members thought it had a positive impact.According to the survey results, most of the athletes favored the "compound training" mode of lower limb strength practice, indicating that the use of flower ball cheerleading training is effective.
