Research objectives:The purpose of this study was to verify the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Peabody Develop-mental Motor Scales 2(PDMS-2)in the evaluation of motor development of infants aged 1 to 3 years,so as to provide confidence for using this measurement tool to evaluate motor development of infants. It also provides theoretical basis for Chinese version of PDMS-2 scale to screen infants with motor retardation and provide early intervention for them.Research methods:The methods of literature, interview, testing, video analysis and mathematical statistics were used to test and interview the school-age infants and expert teachers in Zhejiang Maimiao Public School nursery institutions and affiliated kindergartens of Zhejiang Normal University.437 infants were tested and 34 experts were interviewed. The reliability analysis in this paper includes:retest reliability,inter-tester consistency reliability and internal consistency reliability; The validity analysis has structural validity, content validity and criterion correlation validity. Results:In the reliability analysis results, the retest reliability coefficients of each sub-test ranged from 0.846 to 0.938.The consistency coefficient between subjects was 0.876~0.934;The overall internal consistency was 0.800,and the overall internal consistency coefficient of each month was greater than 0.7.The correlation of internal variables in the results of validity analysis was 0.373~0.699.In exploratory factor analysis,KMO value was0.784,and factor extraction values were 0.670,0.734,0.705,0.844 and 0.842 in sequence. In confirmatory factor analysis,x~2/df=2.053(x~2/df<3),RMSEA=0.49(RESEA<0.08),two common factors were extracted.High degree of model fitting;Gross movements(AVE=0.542,CR=0.779)and fine movements(AVE=0.699,CR=0.823)had ideal reliability and validity. The correlation coefficient between gross and fine movements was 0.713,and the square root of AVE was greater than the correlation coefficient. There was a certain correlation among all latent variables, and the scale discrimination validity was ideal.Content validity is good.Meanwhile,in the validity analysis, the correlation coefficient between PDI and GMQ was0.709,between FMQ and 0.572,and between TMQ and 0.708.The correlation coefficient of PDI was 0.636 with posture,0.760 with movement,0.367 with physical operation,0.436 with grip, and 0.598 with visual-motion integration.conclusions:1.The retest reliability,inter-tester consistency reliability and internal consistency reliability of the Chinese version of PDMS-2 scale all reached the measurement standards;2.The Chinese version of PDMS-2 scale has good content validity, structure validity and criterion validity.3.The Chinese version of PDMS-2 scale,as an effective tool, can be used to measure the motor development level of infants and promote its application in the research and practice of motor development of infants aged 1 to 3 years.
