Today,with the concept of building a lifelong learning system and building a learning society deeply rooted in the hearts of the people,adult pedagogy has received more and more attention and attention from the society.Under the background of comprehensively deepening the construction of teachers in colleges and universities,as the backbone of adult education teachers,how to continuously improve the level of professional development is an important problem that needs to be solved.This study takes the postgraduate tutor of adult pedagogy as the research object,revolves around the theme of teachers’ professional development,and investigates the current situation of the professional development of postgraduate tutor of adult pedagogy through questionnaires and interviews.to explore the difficulties encountered in the process of professional development,analyze the causes of the problems,and put forward suggestions to promote the professional development level of adult pedagogy postgraduate mentors.Specifically,this study is based on the theory of teachers’ professional development and educational ecology,and uses the self-designed "questionnaire on Professional Development of Adult Education Postgraduate mentors" and "interview outline of Professional Development of Adult Pedagogy Postgraduate mentors" as tools.Questionnaires were distributed to adult education master’s and doctoral mentors from 24 universities in China,and three mentors from Zhejiang and Yunnan provinces were interviewed.The study found that there is a problem of "ecological imbalance" in the professional development of postgraduate tutors of adult education in China.the main manifestations are as follows:(1)the professional literacy of teachers is uneven;(2)the ecological space of the discipline is limited;(3)the cultivation system of colleges and universities is not updated;(4)the social support environment is not ideal.The reason is fundamentally restricted by the loss of self-development consciousness and weak ecological carrying capacity of postgraduate tutors of adult pedagogy.In this regard,this paper puts forward countermeasures from four aspects: return to independent development,establish ecological self;build a discipline exchange platform to train leading talents;create a university support environment to drive teachers’ development;unite social forces and promote balanced symbiosis.Hope to create a good ecology to promote the professional development of adult pedagogy graduate tutors,and constantly promote the level of teachers’ professional development.
