Chemical experiment is an important part of middle school chemistry learning.Demonstration experiment is one of the teaching methods for teachers to teach the relevant contents of chemical experiment.Due to the pressure of entering a higher school,the limitation of teaching hours and other factors,many teachers give up demonstration experiments,which has a great impact on the cultivation of students’ situational interest.Taking the experiment of "reaction between sodium and water" as an example,this study carries out chemical experiment teaching with different teaching methods,analyzes and compares the changes of students’ interest under different teaching methods,and explores the impact of chemical demonstration experiment on students’ situational interest.Firstly,by consulting relevant materials,collecting and combing the literature related to this subject,the types of chemical demonstration experiments and the interest level of chemical demonstration experiments are re divided,and it is determined to study from three aspects: the measurement of interest scale,the change of students’ expression and students’ irrelevant behavior in class.Then,according to the newly divided interest level of chemical demonstration experiment,the interest scale is prepared.For the experiment of "reaction between sodium and water",the teaching plan and after-school interview outline of classroom teaching in three different ways: teaching method,verification experiment method and innovative experiment method are prepared,and the experimental teaching video recording,pre-test and post test of the scale and student interview are carried out.Finally,sort out the relevant data and process the data:1、use SPSS software to test the reliability and validity of the scale and each subscale,and test the mean,standard deviation and paired sample t of the pre-test and post-test results.According to the changes of students’ interest in chemical demonstration experiment in different teaching situations,preliminarily correspond the divided types of chemical demonstration experiment with the level of interest in chemical demonstration experiment;2、There are seven kinds of expressions of students in class,namely listening,excitement,curiosity,boredom,worry,doubt and no obvious expression.They are classified into three kinds of emotions: positive emotion,negative emotion and no obvious emotion.Based on this,observe and demonstrate the experimental teaching video,count the number of students with different expressions and emotions at different teaching stages,and draw the broken line diagram of changes in the number of students’ expressions and emotions and the broken line diagram of changes in the number of students’ emotions,The interview fragments of students are used as auxiliary explanations to analyze whether the chemistry demonstration experiment has an impact on students’ situational interest and which experimental teaching method has the greatest impact on students’ situational interest;3、NVivo software is used to record the irrelevant behavior and time of the research object and calculate the proportion of irrelevant behavior in the total length of teaching activities.By comparing the average coverage rate and coding density of irrelevant behavior in different experimental groups,the influence of different experimental teaching methods on students’ emotional interest is analyzed.The results show that:(1)chemistry demonstration experiment can enhance students’ situational interest.(2)Different types of chemistry demonstration experiments have different effects on students’ situational interest.The innovations of this paper are mainly reflected in:(1)a new division is made on the types of chemical demonstration experiments and the interest level of chemical demonstration experiments.(2)Through the experimental teaching and the pre-test and post test results of the scale,the two demonstration experiment types of confirmatory experiment and innovative experiment are preliminarily corresponding to the interest level of demonstration experiment.
