A Practical Study On The Employment Ability Improvement Group For Young And Middle-aged People With Mild Intellectual Disabilitie

With the continuous development of society,the life of the disabled has been paid close attention by all sectors of society,and their life and welfare security have become more and more sound.Employment is a major livelihood project.With the care and help of the government and all sectors,their employment situation has also been significantly improved.In 2015,the State Council issued the opinions on accelerating the process of building a moderately prosperous society for the disabled,emphasizing the need to do everything possible to promote the employment and income of the disabled.People with intellectual disabilities are a special group of the disabled.With the growth of age,especially in the young and middle-aged,they have great demand for employment.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the employability of people with mild intellectual disabilities.From the perspective of empowerment theory,this paper uses a mixed research method to conduct a group work intervention study on the employability of young adults with mild mental retardation in sunshine home,y community,Huzhou City.Firstly,through the questionnaire and semi-structured interview with the staff of sunshine home in Y community and the young and middle-aged members with mild mental retardation,we collected the required literature,analyzed the current situation of low employability of the young and middle-aged people with mild mental retardation in Y community,and summarized the needs of the young and middle-aged people with mild mental retardation in Y community in terms of self-awareness,interpersonal skills,obtaining employment opportunities and improving social participation.Under the theoretical support of empowerment theory and advantage perspective,social workers selected 8 young and middle-aged people with mild mental retardation from sunshine home as service objects,and planned 6 group work to improve the employability of young and middle-aged people with mild mental retardation.In the process of group implementation,they stimulated their employment awareness and employment potential through knowledge popularization,activity training,practice participation,etc.,so as to improve their self-awareness,improve interpersonal communication Enhance the employability and social participation.After the effectiveness analysis of the group practice,the group activities have a certain effect in improving the employability of the group members.Social workers summarize and reflect on the application of theories,skills and methods,and service effects,so as to provide operable experience for the future social work services for young and middle-aged people with mild intellectual disabilities.
