Research On The Social Work Intervenes The Social Adaptability Promotion Of Adults With Intellectual Disabilities

The improvement of social adaptability is very important for the disabled group.On the one hand,social adaptability is one of the important criteria for judging and measuring the degree of intellectual disability.On the other hand,human beings are social animals and cannot live independently from society.The improvement of their social adaptability makes it easier to integrate into society later.Mentally handicapped people with disabilities are particularly concerned about the disabled population due to their own intellectual deficiencies and social prejudice.It is assumed that the mentally handicapped disabled in adulthood still do not have basic independent living,simple labor ability and social life ability.How should they face survival in the future?Therefore,this paper is a practical study on the social adaptive ability of adults with intellectual disabilities.Based on the author's practice site-the practice of Service for the disabled with Adult intellectual disabilities in the Sunshine Home of Wuhan City.On the basis of consulting and sorting out the relevant literature of scholars at home and abroad on the social adaptive ability of persons with intellectual disabilities,using interview method,participation observation method and questionnaire survey method,this paper starts from the three dimensions of social adaptability:the mastery of norms,the handling of human relations and the control of self-emotion.The four major environmental systems of the individual,family,institution and community of the study subjects were studied in-depth.Analysis of the main social adaptive needs of adults with intellectual disabilities in the environmental system.Then under the guidance of ecosystem theory service model,this paper explores how social work is involved in the promotion of social adaptability of adults with intellectual disabilities.The author combines the group working method with the community working method in the field of social work.To develop a series of services to meet the needs of emotional management and interpersonal relationship processing for the study subjects,so as to improve the social adaptability of the adults with intellectual disabilities and the harmonious interaction between the environmental systems.Finally,from the perspective of ecosystem theory,the research on social work involvement in the promotion of social adaptability of adults with intellectual disabilities is summarized and reconsidered,in order to provide some reference significance for the research in this field.
