Under the background of increasingly severe aging and miniaturization of family structure,the widowed and solitary old people,as a special group in the elderly group,have gradually attracted widespread attention from all walks of life.The elderly who are widowed and living alone are not only faced with the double dilemma of widowhood and living alone,but also with the weakening of family support.Their emotional status is easily unstable,which deserves our attention.This study was based on the previous participation in the pilot project of“Linkage of three Social associations”in Jiaocheng District,Ningde City.It was found that more than one old man in H community in ningde city suffered from loneliness,depression,sadness and other negative emotions due to his Widowed and living alone.Therefore,through the questionnaire on emotional needs of the widowed elderly and living alone,this paper further analyzed the emotional support status of 80 widowed elderly and living alone aged 65-75.It is found that they generally have the dilemma of Low self-awareness,weak emotion expression ability and few channels of emotion release.It is faced with the need to improve self-cognition ability,enhance emotional expression ability and expand the scope of social communication.To solve these problems,the author actively linked resources,gathered together the widowed and solitary old people with the same geographical location,facing the same situation and similar needs,and adopted the interactive mode of group work method to carry out six group activities.Help team members establish good relationships in the early stage of the group;The transition period of the group is to improve the self-cognition of the group members,cultivate the attitude of mutual assistance and cooperation,and deal with the conflicts of the group members;In the mature stage of the group,enhance the emotional expression ability of the group members,provide them with a platform for emotional expression and expression,establish a peer support network,and meet their emotional needs by relying on the strength of the peer group.Group closure period to consolidate the effectiveness of group services.After the end of the group,social workers used pre-and post-test comparison,questionnaire survey method,interview method to evaluate the achievement of group goals and the effect of the group.The results show that the group interaction model can help the widowed and solitary elderly,improve the current situation of insufficient emotional support of the elderly,meet their own emotional needs,expand the scope of social contact of the elderly,establish a peer support system among the elderly,and help the elderly to rebuild their confidence in the old life.Although the groupwork method has achieved some results in improving the emotional support problems of the widowed elderly living alone,the author also found that in order to maintain a long-term and effective mutual assistance relationship and completely solve the problem of their inadequate emotional support,it is necessary to integrate multiple resources and forces,and carry out continuous follow-up and service.
