| In the mate selection process of young people,parents have higher expectations and more interventions in mate selection.Role offside behavior is very common.Young people pay attention to their own meaning and personality.It is inevitable that the two generations will have differences and even conflicts on mate selection.It is often manifested in the form of cold wars,quarrels,and avoidance within the family.In the data released in recent years,the marriage rate in my country has continued to decline.As the main force of family formation,young people’s marriage and love issue has become a social hot issue that the society has to pay attention to.The choice of a mate is a topic of discussion with a strong social nature.It has a certain guiding effect on the mate selection of the younger generation and the subsequent marriage life.To a certain extent,it will also affect the quality of marriage and family happiness.From the perspective of intergenerational,to explore the choice of spouses for contemporary young people,to provide effective guidance for dealing with intergenerational conflicts in the field of marriage,and to help promote family harmony and social stability.The author attempts to use the social exchange theory to analyze the similarities and differences between the offspring’s mate choice factors and their parents’ expectations,and supplemented by case interviews to illustrate the existence of intergenerational conflict,and then analyze how intergenerational differences in mate choice factors affect intergenerational conflict.Social exchange theory holds that all behaviors in society belong to exchange behaviors,including mate choice.The exchange behavior in mate selection exchanges its own resources with the mate selection object,so as to obtain as rich a return as possible in the process of mate selection.In terms of research methods,the questionnaire method was used for data collection,and SPSS was used for statistical analysis to study the intergenerational differences in mate choice.Then supplemented by case interviews to illustrate the reality of intergenerational conflict.The study found that both generations attach great importance to family conditions;the expectations of the parents are generally too high;the influence of family conditions on parents is different,and different family conditions have obvious differences in the parents’ mate choice expectations for their children,but for parents who come separately It is said that the impact caused is different;the impact of education on the two generations is different,and the difference between parents and offspring mate selection factors is very large,but the differences in offspring mate selection factors are not large.Finally,how to mitigate conflict,parents need to avoid excessive intervention,reduce expectations,and strengthen communication may be an effective way to eliminate conflict. |
