Support And Conflict: Intergenerational Relationships In Urban Families In The Context Of Intergenerational Care

With the development of economic society,the structure and function of family have also changed.The intergenerational relationship within the family has become a hot issue in modern society.Whether the intergenerational relationship is coordinated or not affects not only the quality of life within the family,but also the social development to a great extent.Under the guidance of field theory and family life cycle theory,this paper studies the intergenerational relationship in the temporary stem family of urban and provides theoretical support for the study of family intergenerational relationship.In the aspect of practical significance,through in-depth analysis and research on the form,content and interaction mechanism of intergenerational support and conflict in such families,The author finds out the feasible measures to alleviate this kind of family intergenerational problem,and provides the suggestion reference for promoting the harmonious family relations.The first chapter is the introduction,including the research background,significance,research summary,concept definition,theoretical basis,research methods and so on.This part lays a foundation for the following research.The second chapter describes the general situation of the research place and the research object.It can provide the objective basis for the follow-up phenomenon analysis.The third chapter analyzes the formation mechanism and endogenous resistance of the phenomenon by paying attention to the "return to the nest" of the grandparents,and shows that there is a certain basis for the occurrence of intergenerational support and intergenerational conflict.Based on the analysis of the field interview data,the fourth chapter summarizes and classifies the content and forms of intergenerational support and conflict between grandparents and parents in cities.The fifth chapter is the shaping mechanism of intergenerational support and conflict under the field theory and analyzes the endogenous mechanism of intergenerational support and conflict.Field theory is the main analytical framework in this chapter.From the relative autonomy of family field and the stability of family members' habitus,intergenerational support is shaped.The intergenerational conflict is shaped from the following four aspects: the lag of grandparents habitus,the difference of life course,the competition in the field and the lack of norm in the family field.The sixth chapter is the adjustment strategy of intergenerational conflict.Faced with the general situation of intergenerational conflict in family,parents and grandparents will make efforts to adjust intergenerational conflict in order to maintain family harmony.The specific adjustment strategy will be discussed from four aspects: the collectivity of habitus,the generation of new habitus of grandparents and parents,the competition for resources outside the family field and the reconstruction of intergenerational practice rules.The last part is the conclusion,which summarizes the full text.Firstly,the phenomenon of "returning to the nest" of grandparents for intergenerational care expands the extensional explanation of family life cycle.Secondly,the existence of intergenerational upward support shows that the intergenerational feedback model is still relatively stable.Finally,there is almost no conflict between generations,which is persistent,violent and irreconcilable.The strategies of tolerance,negotiation,avoidance and compliance can alleviate the conflict between generations.
