| Executive function is a kind of advanced cognitive function of human brain.A high level of executive function is conducive to cognitive activities such as learning, memory and decision-making.How to effectively promote the development of individual executive function through physical exercise is a highly concerned issue in the field of neuroscience, educational science and society. The period of childhood and adolescence is the stage of rapid development of brain executive function.based on this, this study uses volleyball training as a means of sports intervention to explore the effect of 12-week volleyball training on the executive function of 11-12-year-old middle school students. The purpose of this study is to put forward effective suggestions for physical exercise to promote the executive function of middle school students, and to provide reference for the formulation of relevant sports programs. In this study,64 students aged 11-12 from No.13 Middle School in Rencheng District,Jining City,Shandong Province were divided into the experimental group(16 boys and 16 girls)and the control group(16 boys and 16 girls)for 12 weeks. The E-prime program of the computer was used as the measuring tool, and the reaction time of operating Flanker task,1-Back task and More-odd shifting task was used as the test index. The inhibition function, refresh function and conversion function of the subjects were measured and evaluated at five time points before intervention,6 weeks after intervention,12 weeks after intervention,1 week after intervention and 2 weeks after intervention. The measurement results were processed by independent sample T-test,repeated measurement analysis of variance and multi-factor analysis of variance. The results show that:1.There was homogeneity in demographic variables, physical health, mental health and executive function between the experimental group and the control group before the experiment(P>0.05).2.In the inhibition function, the level of inhibition function of middle school students increased in the stage of exercise intervention, and decreased after stopping the intervention, but there was no significant difference compared with the pretest(P>0.05).In the refresh function, the refresh function level of the experimental group was improved, and there was a significant difference at the five test time points(P<0.001),while there was no significant difference in the control group at the five test time points(P>0.05).In the conversion function, the level of conversion function in the experimental group was improved, and there were significant differences at all five test time points(P<0.05).There was a significant difference in the level of conversion function between the control group and the pretest during the exercise intervention phase(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the level of conversion function between the stop intervention phase and the pretest(P>0.05).3.After exercise intervention, the executive function level of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the pre-test,while that of the control group was not significant. In the experimental group, there was no gender difference in the level of executive function between boys and girls(P>0.05).4.The executive function level of the experimental group has been improved at the 6th week of exercise intervention, and has the most advantage at the 12 th week.At the 1st and 2nd week of intervention, the level of executive function in the experimental group was still significantly different from that of the pretest(P<0.05),while that of the control group was not significantly different from that of the pretest at the 1st and 2nd week of intervention(P>0.05).Research conclusion:1.12-week volleyball training intervention can effectively promote the executive function of 11-12-year-old middle school students, and there is no gender difference in the impact on the level of executive function of middle school students.2.The effect of 12-week volleyball training intervention on the executive function of 11-12-year-old middle school students is better than that of routine physical education curriculum intervention group.3.12-week volleyball training intervention produced a significant effect at the6 th week, and the promoting effect at the 12 th week was the most advantageous. After stopping the intervention, the promoting effect could be maintained for more than 2 weeks.4.The time effect of 12-week volleyball training intervention on the executive function of 11-12-year-old middle school students is better than that of routine physical education curriculum intervention. |
