parents of young children during the transition period from kindergarten to primary school, and to explore the influencing factors of educational anxiety among parents during the transition period, this study selected parents in large classes in Guangzhou as the research subjects.Based on the "Guiding Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Vigorously Promoting the Scientific Connection between Kindergartens and Primary Schools",the dimensions of preparation for enrollment in the transition period were divided,From the five dimensions of "physical and mental preparation anxiety","life preparation anxiety","learning preparation anxiety","social preparation anxiety",and "school selection anxiety" in the connection between preschool and elementary education, this study examines the content of parents’ anxiety in the connection between preschool and elementary education.Research has found that the educational anxiety of parents in the transition stage between early childhood and primary school has the following characteristics:1.Parents of young children in the transition stage generally have general level education anxiety. The overall level of anxiety among parents during the transition stage between early childhood and primary school is not high, and the anxiety of transition between early childhood and primary school has a relatively small impact on parents’ physical and mental health.2.The content of parents’ anxiety during the transition from kindergarten to primary school is complex and numerous, and the future development of children has become the core issue of parents’ anxiety. The content order of parental education anxiety is learning readiness anxiety, life readiness anxiety, social readiness anxiety, physical and mental readiness anxiety, and school choice anxiety.Parents are more anxious about their children’s academic and life preparation, and less concerned about their children’s physical and mental preparation and school selection.3.There are significant differences in parents’ anxiety about the transition between childhood and childhood education among different families in terms of socioeconomic status and children’s situation, and parents with unfavorable socioeconomic status are more anxious.Specifically, mothers have significantly higher levels of educational anxiety in the transition between learning and life preparation compared to fathers;Parents with disadvantaged academic and professional backgrounds have significantly higher levels of anxiety in their children’s school selection education compared to parents with advantageous backgrounds; In terms of academic readiness anxiety, parents have significantly higher levels of educational anxiety towards boys than girls; The level of educational anxiety in only child families is significantly higher in terms of learning preparation than in families with two or more children;Parents whose children are born in the first order have significantly higher educational anxiety than those with second or multiple children.4.There are many causes of parental education anxiety, but the measures taken by parents to alleviate anxiety are relatively insufficient. The generation of parents’ educational anxiety during the transition period between early childhood and primary school is a complex and multifaceted process. The rapid development of China’s current society has brought intense competitive culture and employment pressure. The exam oriented education standards evaluated by "academic performance scores" have caused parents to panic about their children’s backwardness. The current misunderstanding and concern of parents about connecting the education system have exacerbated their concerns about their children’s school readiness and adaptation. The learning performance of children during the education process and their own tutoring ability have led to parents’ adaptive concerns about their children entering primary school, further leading to the development of their educational anxiety. The continuous catalysis of the media and educational institutions has led to a complete explosion of parents’ educational anxiety.Starting from the social and policy perspectives, this article proposes measures to alleviate the educational anxiety of parents in the transition stage between early childhood and primary school: firstly,to improve the social environment and create a good educational atmosphere.Guide parents to establish a correct view of competition, strengthen the supervision and management of off campus training institutions, and strengthen positive media promotion and scientific guidance.2、 Improve relevant policies and systems, and provide corresponding linkage support.Optimize educational policies to address parents’ concerns;Strengthen policy promotion and enhance parents’ awareness of educational policies.3、 Build a guidance service system to enhance parents’ competence in family education.Strengthen home connections and cooperation;Carry out personalized parental education anxiety guidance; The community provides corresponding family education guidance resources. | | Keywords/Search Tags: |
