| In order to meet the needs of our society for talented people,the Biology Curriculum Standard(2017 edition)of ordinary high school puts forward that scientific inquiry is one of the goals that students should achieve in order to achieve the core literacy of biology,and makes specific requirements for students.HPS education can help students understand the process of scientific inquiry,understand and master biological knowledge comprehensively and deeply,improve their scientific inquiry literacy and innovation ability,and realize their all-round development.According to the results of this research,the following research conclusions are obtained:(1)According to the questionnaire survey of students,students have better cognition of scientific inquiry,are generally interested in scientific inquiry,curious about unknown biological knowledge,and have active attitude and spirit of scientific inquiry.However,the ability of scientific inquiry needs to be further improved.Meanwhile,students in different types of schools have uneven development in scientific inquiry literacy;Students have high recognition of the ability to promote scientific inquiry in the history of science,and there are significant differences between different types of schools in some dimensions.Students have a deep sense of teachers’ teaching activities based on the history of science,and a poor sense of experience in penetrating scientific inquiry literacy.The students’ recognition of the ability to promote scientific inquiry in the history of science is significantly related to the development level of scientific inquiry cognition and affective quality,and the teachers’ teaching methods have positive effect on the development of scientific inquiry cognition,affective quality and ability.(2)Through the teacher interview survey,it is found that most teachers know the core content of biology literacy,but lack the in-depth knowledge of scientific inquiry literacy;Some teachers already have the consciousness of cultivating students’ scientific inquiry literacy in biology teaching and actively adopt certain teaching methods.Some teachers say they do not know enough about the educational value of HPS in science history,but they also teach the content of science history in class.Most teachers think that introducing the history of biological science into the process of learning new knowledge will arouse students’ interest in inquiry,make them actively participate in inquiry activities and improve their scientific inquiry literacy,but there are some difficulties in the actual teaching process.(3)According to the survey results,combining literature and related theories,the following teaching strategies based on HPS teaching are put forward to train students’ scientific inquiry literacy:(1)Selected HPS materials to bring into play the educational value of science history;(2)combing scientific inquiry dimension and establishing scientific inquiry goal;(3)Elaborate teaching process and point to the development of scientific inquiry literacy;(4)Improving evaluation methods and focusing on the formation of scientific inquiry literacy.In conclusion,based on HPS,we can give full play to the educational value of the history of science,help students to understand the nature and significance of science,stimulate their interest in scientific inquiry,improve their ability to explore science,establish good emotional attitude and values,and realize their all-round development.Of course,there are still many shortcomings in this study,which will be improved in future teaching research. |
