In this paper,we study the supply chain operation decisions of cross-border e-commerce under two modes of operation, direct mail and overseas warehouse, based on information sharing in the context of uncertain market demand. The details of the study and the main results are as follows:Firstly,we study the information sharing decision and free shipping decision in the supply chain of cross-border e-commerce platform under the direct mail mode.By constructing a Stackelberg game model consisting of an existing retailer with market demand information and offering free shipping and a new entrant retailer, the information sharing decision between retailers and the free shipping decision of the new retailer are investigated. The optimal order quantity, retail price, and expected profit of the supply chain members under different scenarios are obtained based on whether the information is shared and whether the new retailer provides free shipping service.Further, the optimal decisions of the supply chain members regarding information sharing and free shipping are obtained by analyzing the benefits of each party in the supply chain. The numerical analysis discusses the factors influencing the profit of retailers and the decision of information sharing and free shipping.Next, the information-sharing decision of the platform and the choice of sales mode when the overseas warehouse joins the platform are investigated under the overseas warehouse mode.By constructing a supply chain system consisting of an overseas warehouse with both online and offline distribution and a cross-border e-commerce platform with market demand information,we study the information-sharing decision of the platform and the choice of the sales model of the overseas warehouse when the overseas warehouse joins the platform. In this system, considering the delivery time of goods for online distribution, the overseas warehouse can join the online distribution platform in marketplace mode or resale mode. The optimal delivery time decisions of supply chain members under different scenarios are obtained based on the scenarios of whether the information is shared and the sales mode choice of overseas warehouse joining the platform, and the optimal decisions of supply chain members on information sharing and sales mode choice are obtained. The numerical analysis discusses the factors affecting supply chain decisions and profits. Finally,we investigate the impact of different risk preferences of supply chain members on information sharing and other supply chain decisions under the overseas warehouse model. The impact of different risk preferences of supply chain members on supply chain decisions is investigated by constructing a Stackelberg game model consisting of an overseas warehouse and a crossborder e-commerce platform with market demand information. In the model, the risk preferences of the overseas warehouse and the platform are divided into different scenarios by considering the risk-neutral or risk-averse situations of the overseas warehouse and the platform respectively, and the risk measure of CVa R criterion is taken into account in the supply chain decision. The influence of supply chain members’ risk preferences on supply chain decisions is obtained by analyzing the optimal solutions. The numerical analysis verifies the validity of the findings and enriches the conclusions. This study provides a scientific basis for the complex cross-border e-commerce platform supply chain decision-making problem. It enriches the theory and research results of platform supply chain management.
