Under the background of the rapid development of the Internet economy,outstanding enterprises in China’s science and technology field choose to emerge in overseas markets.In recent years,China’s smart phone companies represented by Huawei and Xiaomi have opened the road to expansion of the international market on the basis of basing themselves on the domestic market,and their performance in the international market is quite sharp.Some scholars at home and abroad have carried out research on the overseas business strategies of smart phone companies,and most scholars have started from the nationalization behavior and influencing factors of traditional manufacturing enterprises,but there are few studies on how Chinese smart phone companies choose to enter the international market.Therefore,this paper takes Chinese smartphone companies as the research object to explore the entry mode of smartphone companies in the international market.Based on the current situation of the internationalization development of Chinese smartphone enterprises,this paper conducts a detailed analysis of the motives,entry modes and influencing factors of their transnational operations.Chinese smartphone companies are choosing to enter overseas markets based on government policies,cost orientation and technology-oriented.There are five international market entry modes for China’s smart phone enterprises,namely export trade,OEM production,strategic alliance,establishment of overseas research and development institutions,and equity investment.On this basis,this paper focuses on the influencing factors of the selection of the international market entry mode of China’s smartphone enterprises from the environmental level of the host country,combines the political,economic,infrastructure,market potential and distance of the target market to construct an evaluation index system,and then classifies the 24 overseas countries involved in the transnational operation of Chinese smartphone enterprises,and analyzes how Chinese smartphone companies should adopt the entry mode under different overseas markets.Finally,the entry mode and development strategy of Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi in the Indian market and Western European market respectively are taken as cases to put forward relevant suggestions for the transnational operation of China’s smart phone enterprises.
