With the rapid development of information technology and the widespread adoption of big data applications on the Internet, the market competition in the storage industry has become increasingly fierce.Traditional storage products can no longer meet customers’ urgent demands for comprehensive and complex functionalities, necessitating constant innovation and upgrades to meet market needs. At the same time, software development itself faces many challenges, such as frequent requirement changes, loss of control over schedules, and subpar product quality. The traditional waterfall development model is no longer able to meet the market’s requirements for flexibility and rapid delivery. This paper provides a review of relevant literature on traditional software development, software schedule management, and agile schedule management. It also analyzes the current status of schedule management in the A storage software project through research interviews.By applying agile development theory, this article proposes an agile schedule management approach based on the Scrum framework, which involves agile adjustments to project organizational structure, requirement management, and project processes. The proposed approach is validated through a case study in the field of general storage business, demonstrating that adopting the adjusted agile schedule management can effectively enhance project efficiency and customer satisfaction. The research findings of this article provide value for the schedule management of related software projects.
