Research On The Narrative Of Henan TV’s "Chinese Festivals" Series Program

Excellent Chinese traditional culture is the wisdom crystallization of Chinese civilization and the cultural driving force for the continuous development of Chinese-style modernization.In recent years,with the help of new media technology,China’s media at all levels have done much exploration and innovation in tapping the modern value of Chinese excellent traditional culture,actively expanding the discourse space of excellent traditional culture,and giving Chinese excellent traditional culture a new expressive power,etc.In 2021,Henan TV made full use of its regional cultural advantages,grasped the pulse of the times,and expanded the expression form of Chinese excellent traditional culture.From "Night Banquet at Tang Palace" to "Luo Shen Shui Fu",from "Fantastic Night of Lantern Festival" to "Fantastic Tour of Chongyang",Henan TV uses digital video technology to encode traditional culture and elements,construct a mainstream media discourse with "Chinese characteristics",and open new ideas for the global expression and international communication of Chinese civilization.This study takes Henan TV’s "Chinese Festivals" series from 2021 to 2022 as the research object,and explores the overall narrative framework from three levels: narrative strategy,narrative discourse,and narrative time and space.The series takes Chinese excellent traditional culture as the content theme,subverts the narrative structure of traditional party programs in the form of "web drama + web variety",extends various cultural interpretation perspectives with diversified narrative subjects,deconstructs and re-produces the narrative space and time,and integrates various audiovisual symbols to construct a cultural context,shaping The narrative text of the program has both historical thickness and modern interest.In terms of narrative value and inspiration,the series breaks through the conventional party narrative with storytelling IP characters,creates Chinese storytelling texts with profound connotations of the spirit of the times,and empowers the narrative and dissemination of the program with digital technology,forming a followable narrative art style.In the future,the series still needs to improve and perfect the quality of narrative content,the use of narrative technology and the brand value of narrative,so as to continuously realize the self-renewal of "telling Chinese stories and spreading Chinese voices".
