A Research On The Evolution Mechanism Of German Tourist Towns Based On Space Syntax

The bottom logic of small tourist towns’development is a practical and academic issue,which is worth carrying out a research.This thesis tries to take small German tourist towns as a typical case and analyze its development law,looking forward to providing a new perspective for the development of“tourism and urbanization”,as well as the reference and suggestions on the development planning of small tourist towns in the future.Through starting with the small tourist towns in Germany,this thesis tries to explore the evolution mechanism of small tourist towns from the evolution process of spatial form based on space syntax.Based on the resilience of German economy,experienced multiple ups and downs and rapid rise in a short period,it attempts to interpret the bottom logic of the rapid development of the small tourist towns of Triberg in Germany in the past decade.With the adaptation of space syntax,this thesis makes a direct,profound and comprehensive interpretation on the complexity of these small tourist towns,and tries to explore the spatial pattern of small tourist towns and the law of their development from the perspective of objective reality,so as to gain a deep and objective understanding of logical order on the self growth of space.With the help of space syntax theory and the combination of spatial analysis tools in Depthmap,this thesis carries out the quantitative characterization analysis of small tourist towns’ spatial structure from the aspects of connectivity value,integration levels,selectivity,intelligibility and intelligence.Then depending on the analysis methods of space syntax,it makes an objective analysis of the spatial structure of small tourist towns about their characteristics and influencing factors,so as to sum up the evolution mechanism in the development process of these small tourist towns.According to the interpretation based on the space syntax theory,it tries to open up the understanding of behavior relations between people and small town space,so as to think about the social development and economic development from the perspective of "space" in small tourist towns.According to the research,it has found that European small towns’ power source of development is hidden in the grassroots.As for the urban development planning in Germany and the principle of balanced development on resource allocation,they have a great effect on the development of small German tourist towns;in order to promote the development of small tourist towns,it is necessary to start from top planning and infrastructure construction,so as to bring a starting line with a self-circulation economy system for small tourist towns.Through the development of tourism industry and providing high-quality tourism services,it tries to help the small tourist towns to form two-way endogenous force circle in economy and culture:depending on the“transfer from outside to inside”,it wants to stimulate domestic demand economy;moreover,it continues to inherit and protect historical customs and culture;through the establishment of people’s cultural self-confidence,it aims to realize the strong grass-roots endogenous force from bottom to top.However,there are still some shortcomings in this thesis—the case study of small tourist towns in German is relatively single,and it also wants to expand the sample in the future research.
