| Xinjiang has a large number of representative tourism resources,as a leading industry in the green economy,the advantages of rich tourism resources are one of the "fast lanes" to promote Xinjiang’s economic development.In recent years,Xinjiang has attached great importance to the development of tourism and transformed the advantages of tourism resources into important development advantages.Promote the sustainable and healthy development of the tourism industry,build a strong tourism province,become an important tourist resort,and strive to establish a good brand image nationwide.Southern Xinjiang is inhabited by ethnic minorities,with prominent ethnic characteristics and retaining a simple ethnic flavor.Natural landscapes,historical sites such as the ancient Silk Road,and b&BS are very suitable for the development of characteristic tourism to promote economic development.Under the strategy of all-round assistance and prosperity of Xinjiang,the attractiveness of the tourism market in southern Xinjiang has been significantly improved,and the number of tourist receptions and tourism revenue are also increasing year by year.However,compared with the rich tourism resources of southern Xinjiang,its development and utilization are still lagging behind.Therefore,studying the current situation of tourism development and its impact on economic growth,discovering and solving existing problems,and further promoting the development of tourism are of great practical significance to the economic and social development of southern Xinjiang and the comprehensive alleviation of poverty and the shortening of the economic gap with northern Xinjiang and eastern Xinjiang.First of all,by summarizing the current situation of economic development in southern Xinjiang,systematically expounding the tourism resource endowment and tourism development status of southern Xinjiang,and clarifying the reality that there are rich tourism resources and lagging behind in tourism development.Second,the grey correlation between tourism and the three industries is analyzed.The results show that the gray correlation between tourism and the primary industry in southern Xinjiang is in the third level,while the gray correlation degree with the secondary industry and the tertiary industry is both four levels,and the gray correlation degree is low,that means the tourism industry does not play a key role in the development of the three industries.Through the analysis of factors such as income dependence,contribution,pull rate and growth elasticity coefficient of tourism in southern Xinjiang,it is concluded that the contribution of tourism in southern Xinjiang to economic growth is becoming more and more obvious.However,there is still a gap compared with eastern and northern Xinjiang.Third,due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020,the tourism industry generally suffered setbacks.In order not to affect the research results,this paper selects panel data of Southern Xinjiang from2000 to 2019 for empirical analysis.The results show that domestic tourism has a great impact on economic growth,while foreign tourism has a negligible impact on economic growth.Finally,according to the analysis of the current situation of tourism and economic development and the results of empirical analysis,it is found that there are problems in the development of tourism in southern Xinjiang such as insufficient endogenous power for the development of tourism resources,low level of opening up,insufficient tourism publicity,and single tourism routes.In this regard,it also put forward countermeasures and suggestions such as increasing the development of tourism resources,improving the degree of opening up to the outside world,strengthening tourism publicity,and developing a variety of tourism routes. |
