| At the end of 2020,Chinese anti-poverty efforts has achieved outstanding results, but relative poverty will still exist and will persist for a long time.Years of poverty alleviation practice has fully proved that the fundamental solution to our poverty problem lies in the development of industries. After achieving comprehensive poverty alleviation,it is necessary to continue to rely on the leading role of high-quality industrial development consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation,Let the rural population with labor ability participate in industrial development and improve their endogenous development ability,so as to achieve development-oriented poverty alleviation, consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation, and promote rural revitalization. Therefore,it is of great significance to explore how participation in industrial poverty alleviation and its different participation methods affect the poverty vulnerability of farmers,to comprehensively promote rural revitalization, improve the mechanism and policy system of my country’s poverty alleviation and consolidate poverty alleviation achievements, and promote the high-quality development of agriculture and rural areas. This paper takes the poverty and vulnerability of 297 peasant households in Xinan County,Henan Province as the research object.Based on the vicious circle of poverty, feasible capacity, participatory development theory and the mechanism of poverty vulnerability occurrence.Through sorting out relevant literature,The risk response ability is divided into three dimensions: self-development ability, family economic status and social capital and use them as mediating variables.Analyze the impact of industrial poverty alleviation and different participation methods on poverty vulnerability and its mechanism, and put forward research hypotheses. The VEP method was used to calculate the family poverty vulnerability index of the surveyed farmers,This paper analyzes the risk response ability of farmers’ households, the status quo of industrial poverty alleviation participation and poverty vulnerability, and uses the multiple linear regression model to study the direct impact of farmers’ participation in industrial poverty alleviation on family poverty vulnerability. The model and multiple parallel intermediary models are used to empirically test the impact and mechanism of participation in industrial poverty alleviation and different participation methods on poverty vulnerability, and finally put forward corresponding policy recommendations based on theoretical analysis and research conclusions. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: 1)During the implementation of the industrial poverty alleviation policy, the vast majority of farmers in the surveyed areas chose to participate in industrial poverty alleviation projects. The risk response ability of farmers has been generally improved.2)In the surveyed areas, nearly onethird of rural households are still in a state of high poverty and vulnerability, and may face the risk of falling into poverty. Moreover, the proportion of high-vulnerability farm households participating in industrial poverty alleviation is much lower than that of non-industrial poverty alleviation households.3)Farmers can significantly reduce poverty vulnerability by participating in industrial poverty alleviation. It is believed that family economic status and self-development ability play a significant mediating effect in the impact of industrial poverty alleviation on poverty vulnerability. That is,farmers can improve their family’s economic status and self-development ability by participating in industrial poverty alleviation, thereby reducing the family’s vulnerability to poverty.Social capital did not play a significant mediating role in the impact of industrial poverty alleviation on poverty vulnerability.4)Asset-based income, household income-increasing and industrial development-driven participation methods can significantly reduce the poverty vulnerability of rural households.Firstly, farmers can improve their family’s economic status by participating in poverty alleviation through asset-based industries, thereby reducing their vulnerability to poverty.Secondly, farmers can improve their self-development ability and family economic status by participating in poverty alleviation through household income-increasing industries, thereby reducing their vulnerability to poverty. Finally, farmers can improve their self-development ability and family economic status by participating in industrial development-driven poverty alleviation, thereby reducing family poverty and vulnerability of farmers, but the mediating role of social capital is not significant. |
