Tourists’ Spatio-temporal Behavior Characteristics And Landscape Preference Based On Geotagged Photos

In recent years,with the improvement of people’s living standards,the demand for outdoor recreation has become increasingly diversified,and people’s demand for longdistance hik es through natural areas has grown rapidly.Online data shared on social media,particularly geo-tagged photos,is increasingly being used to describe landscape features and study the relationship between people and landscape.Based on 2bulu outdoor assistant platform,this paper uses Python to crawl trajectory photos as research data,and uses a combination of deep learning and traditional manual classification to divide 46,570 geotagged photos from 2015 to 2021 into 9 categories.Then,using timestratification,kernel density estimation and non-parametric test,combined with the attribute information such as time stamp,latitude and longitude,altitude and so on of the geotagged photos,to study the spatial and temporal behavior characteristics and landscape preferences of tourists on Luoxiao Mountain National Forest Trail.It is expected to provide some reference for the trail’s early planning and construction.The results show that:(1)The gender of visitors to the nature reserve along Luoxiao Mountain National Forest Trail is mainly male,and the tourist market can be summarized as Changsha,Zhuzhou and Xiangtan as the surrounding market,Wuhan as the neighboring market and Guangzhou,Shenzhen as the developed market;(2)In terms of month,it is "multi-ridge type",and the preference of each landscape type is related to the travel time of tourists,and the travel time of tourists has a significant correlation with holidays;From the four seasons,tourists’ preference for various landscape types is influenced by the uniqueness of the landscape,forming the landscape preference mode of watching flowers and leaves in spring,being hydrophilic in summer,climbing in autumn and enjoying snow in winter;(3)The spatial behavior characteristics of tourists in the trail can be summarized as follows:the Wugong Mountain-Mingyue Mountain area in the middle part is blocky,the southern part of the trail is banded,and the northern part of the trail is spot-like;(4)In terms of overall landscape preference,tourists’ attention to landscape preferences along the forest trails is as follows:tourism facilities>people>physiographic landscape>architecture and cultural relics>biological landscape>celestial phenomena and climate landscape>water landscape>outdoor equipment,and the identification facilities and various roads in tourism facilities are strongly preferred by tourists;(5)Most of the landscapes along the trails are in a "one core and many centers" spatial distribution state,and there are significant differences at different altitudes,no matter which altitude interval,tourism facilities and people are the most preferred types for tourists.Finally,in view of the above conclusions,this paper suggests that the trail builders and managers should provide differentiated trail products from the aspects of development and construction,meet the diverse tourism needs of tourists;grasp the time characteristics of tourists’ travel,we should launch corresponding festival activities in season,improve the infrastructure construction of trails,and supplement all kinds of marking facilities,strengthen the spatial connection of natural reserves along the route,and construct the tourism spatial pattern combining point-axis-surface.
