Analysis On The Spatial Structure Characteristics And Influencing Factors Of Jiangsu Metropolitan Area

Taking the three metropolitan areas in Jiangsu Province as the research object,17 cities above the prefecture level and 54 counties(county-level cities)under its jurisdiction as the research unit,based on the research and judgment of the development status and stage of the metropolitan area In this paper,mathematical models and methods such as gravity model,membership model,traffic connection quantity model,and social network analysis are used to quantitatively analyze and express the spatial structure characteristics,and regression models are used to compare and analyze the main factors affecting the formation of spatial structure.And propose optimization strategies.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The Xuzhou metropolitan area is in the early stage of the late industrialization period,and its development level is relatively low,showing the spatial structure characteristics of polar nuclear development with Xuzhou city as the single core and multiple prefecture-level urban areas as the core area.The central cit y has a prominent traffic center status,but its economic radiation driving ability is weak,and the connections between counties and cities show strong central directivity,adjacent regional directivity,and traffic directivity.The spatial structure i s mainly affected by the industrial structure,the level of opening to the outside world,and the convenience of transportation.(2)The Nanjing metropolitan area is in a transition period from the late stage of industrialization to a developed economy,and presents a spatial structure with a high level of urban area as the single core and the riverside area as the core area.The disequilibrium of connections between counties and cities is obvious,the internal differences in metropolitan areas are large,and administrative barriers are prominent.Spatial structure is mainly affected by factors such as government intervention,market development,and capital investment(3)The Suzhou,Wuxi,and Changzhou metropolitan area is in a stage of advanced economy,presenting a high-level networked spatial structure with Suzhou,Wuxi,and Changzhou as the center.The connections between counties and cities within the metropolitan area are relatively tight and the trend of integrated development is remarkable,showing the characteristics of the directivity of adjacent areas and the central directivity.The influencing factors of the formation of the spatial structure of the metropolitan area are mainly government intervention and transportation convenience.(4)According to the development status,spatial structure characteristics and influencing factors of the three metropolitan areas in Jiangsu Province at different stages of economic development,put forward optimization strategies such as strengthening central city construction,upgrading industrial structure,strengthening interconnection construction,and building a unified market.
