Study On Comprehensive Competitiveness Of Metropolitan Area And Its Influencing Factors

With the deepening of economic globalization and regional economic integration,it has become the requirement of The Times to promote the high-quality development of urban agglomeration with the construction of urban circle.Compared with the mature metropolitan areas in the world,the development of China's metropolitan areas started late,the research theory is not rich,the comprehensive competitiveness of the metropolitan areas is weak and the regional differences are obvious.In order to deeply analyze the comprehensive competitiveness of China's metropolitan area,this paper takes Hangzhou metropolitan area and Nanjing metropolitan area as examples,and studies the city-regional development theory and competitiveness theory as the basic theories.Firstly,the paper defines the metropolitan area and the competitiveness of the metropolitan area,and on this basis,it differentiates the relevant concepts.Secondly,domestic and foreign studies on the formation and growth of metropolitan area are reviewed,and Entropy Index and Esteban-Ray index are used to judge the development stages of Hangzhou metropolitan area and Nanjing metropolitan area.At the same time,the paperconstructs the evaluation model and evaluation index system of the comprehensive competitiveness of the metropolitan area according to the development focus of the metropolitan area and the factors that affect the comprehensive competitiveness of the metropolitan area.Thirdly,on the basis of the evaluation index system,entropy value method and linear weighting method are used to evaluate and analyze the comprehensive competitiveness of the two metropolitan areas,and GM(1,1)model is used to predict the future competitiveness of the two metropolitan areas,and the future development direction of the two metropolitan areas is also considered from the perspective of regional competition.Finally,the conclusion of this paper is drawn and the corresponding policy suggestions are put forward.Through theoretical research and empirical analysis,this paper draws the following conclusions: first,Hangzhou metropolitan area and Nanjing metropolitan area are currently in the transition stage from growth to maturity;second,the comprehensive competitiveness of Nanjing metropolitan area is greater than that of Hangzhou metropolitan area;Third,in the comprehensive competitiveness factor,the size factor of metropolitan area is more important than the efficiency factor;Fourth,by strengthening regional cooperation,the competitiveness of the metropolitan area can be improved.In view of this,taking into account the background of regional economic integration and the requirements of high-quality development of the times,this paper proposes to strengthen the metropolitan area economy and weaken the administrative area economy;strengthen the coordination within the metropolitan area to achieve integration;pay attention to improving the quality of the metropolitan area and achieve high-quality development of the metropolitan area;promote the agglomeration of high-quality elements to improve the competitiveness of the core cities of the metropolitan area.
