Research On The Influence Of Symbiotic Relationship On Opportunity Set In Entrepreneurship Ecosystem

With the development of China’s economy,we have already entered the era of consumption upgrading and VUCA.The instability of the market and the rapid changes in technology make enterprises have to choose to “hold together for warmth”and take the initiative to join or build an ecosystem.Market competition has already spread from the competition among individual enterprises to the whole entrepreneurship ecosystem.More and more enterprises are aware of the power of ecosystem and symbiotic strategy,and try to use symbiotic strategy to form a harmonious,stable and complementary symbiotic relationship.They hope to can harness the power of the whole ecosystem to deal with the ongoing uncertainty and uncertain future brought by environmental change.In terms of theory,entrepreneurship ecosystem has become a research hotspot concerned by scholars in the field of entrepreneurship in recent years,and relatively mature research results have been achieved in various aspects such as concept connotation,structure,characteristics,and classification.Symbiotic relationship and opportunity set,as two concepts highly related to the entrepreneurial ecosystem,have also received some attention from scholars,and have conducted relatively sufficient research on their conceptual connotations,dimensions,influencing factors,and characteristics.However,the academic research on how symbiotic relationship affects the process of opportunity set construction and expansion in entrepreneurship ecosystem is still not clear enough,which needs to be filled by latecomers.Today,when the entrepreneurship ecosystem and symbiotic relationship are gradually becoming the research focus of scholars,the development of Xiaomi entrepreneurship ecosystem has provided excellent research materials for practitioners and scholars.This makes it become a hot research object of entrepreneurship ecosystem research.What makes the Xiaomi entrepreneurship ecosystem form an opportunity set composed of a variety of products and services,whether the opportunity set has been expanded,and whether the construction and expansion process of the opportunity set is related to the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and the symbiotic relationship between multiple subjects in the entrepreneurship ecosystem are interesting and urgent research problems.Based on the classic entrepreneurship theories such as resource-based view,stakeholder theory and organizational learning theory,this study takes Xiaomi entrepreneurship ecosystem as the research object.This paper summarizes and combs the influence path of the symbiotic relationship between multiple subjects in Xiaomi entrepreneurship ecosystem on the construction and expansion process of the opportunity set of the entrepreneurship ecosystem through an exploratory longitudinal single case study method.At the same time,it explores whether the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem will affect these influence paths.The case analysis results show that in the construction stage of the opportunity set,the symbiotic relationship constructs the opportunity set by forming a resource pool.In the expansion stage of the opportunity set,the symbiotic relationship can expand the original resource pool in the system by attracting differentiated new subjects,and at the same time,it can promote the organizational learning of the participating subjects in the system,so as to expand the opportunity set.In addition,the improvement of the diversity of entrepreneurship ecosystem can help to promote the expanding role of symbiotic relationship on opportunity set.This study is based on the frontier research hotspot in the field of entrepreneurship-entrepreneurial ecosystem.It enriches the relevant theoretical research on the construction and expansion process of the opportunity set in entrepreneurship ecosystem and the influence path of symbiotic relationship on opportunity set,thereby provides some reference for future research.
