| Since the signing of the Sino-Russian Treaty of Good-Neighborliness,Friendship and Cooperation in 2001,the Sino-Russian strategic partnership of coordination has continued to deepen,and bilateral cooperation has been carried out in various fields,of which natural gas is an important part of energy cooperation.In the future,natural gas will become the best alternative energy.In addition to being a good and cheap fuel source,it is also an environmentally friendly,high-quality and efficient energy source.Its carbon dioxide emissions are about half of those of coal.The problem of environmental pollution is of great significance to the energy factor.China has a huge demand for energy resources.China needs to pay more attention to the utilization of natural gas,change the energy consumption mode and economic development mode,and ensure the country’s economic and social development.Since domestic natural gas production cannot meet the country’s energy needs,China needs to strengthen international cooperation in the field of natural gas.Russia is China’s best partner in the field of natural gas.First,Russia borders China,so it has the fastest way to supply gas.Second,Russia has the largest natural gas reserves.Third,Sino-Russian relations are in the best period in history.This partnership will undoubtedly benefit cooperation:Russia is a major exporter of natural gas,and China is its largest consumer.In December 2019,the "Power of Siberia-1" natural gas pipeline began to supply for the first time,with a total contract value of 400 billion US dollars.In February 2022,the Far East pipeline "SHV" gas supply contract was signed and another pipeline through Mongolia is being designed – the "Power of Siberia".The purpose of this paper is to summarize the characteristics of Sino-Russian natural gas cooperation in the new era,to discuss the problems of Sino-Russian natural gas cooperation,such as the lack of a mature natural gas trading center,the unbalanced positions of the two countries in the agreement,etc.Economic,ecological and social factors.Use forecasts to identify prospects for natural gas cooperation.At the same time,the path for the development of Sino-Russian natural gas cooperation is proposed. |
