With the improvement of China’s productivity and the accelerating process of industrialization, the household contract responsibility system characterized by fragmented management is no longer consistent with modern agricultural production. The problems such as the aging of farmers and the hollowing out of rural areas are becoming more and more serious. The income gap between urban and rural areas is further expanded, which seriously hinders the development of China’s rural economy. In this context,in order to ensure the adaptability of the land property right system to the new development stage, the government vigorously promotes the land right confirmation and certification in order to improve farmers’ income and promote the development of rural economy.Based on this, this thesis combs the relevant literature, combined with the current situation of farmers’ income,to explore the relationship between land ownership policy and farmers’ income.Using the data of China Health and retirement longitudinal survey(CHARLS),starting from the total income of farmers, agricultural production income of farmers, wage income of farmers and transfer income of farmers, this thesis uses the ordinary least square method to explore whether the land ownership policy has a significant impact on Farmers’ income,The intermediary effect model is used to explore the path of land ownership affecting farmers’ income and the return of quantile to explore the impact of land ownership policy on farmers with different income levels. Finally, the propensity score matching(PSM)method is used to test the robustness. The results show that the land ownership policy significantly improves the total income of farmers and the income of agricultural production, and significantly reduces the wage income of farmers, but the impact on the transfer income of farmers is not significant; Moreover, the land ownership policy will increase the total income and production and operation income of farmers through property right incentive and land transfer in,reduce the production and operation income of farmers through land transfer out,and reduce the wage income of farmers through property right incentive and land transfer in.For farmers with different income levels, the land ownership confirmation policy plays a greater role in promoting the groups with low total household income; However, the impact of land ownership confirmation policy on Farmers’ agricultural production and operation income does not change due to the different income levels of farmers. The impact of land ownership confirmation policy on Farmers’ wage income presents a "U-shaped",which shows that with the increase of farmers’ wage income quantile, the promotion effect of land ownership confirmation policy on Farmers’ wage income first decreases and then increases.According to the above conclusions, this thesis puts forward the following suggestions:(1)encourage local governments to develop and build a good land transfer market and effectively reduce the transaction cost of land transfer.(2)Encourage financial institutions to provide special loans for agricultural means of production, broaden financing channels for agricultural investment and reduce farmers’ agricultural investment costs.(3)Establish a long-term,complete and effective investment mechanism for rural infrastructure, and increase fiscal expenditure related to agricultural production.
