As the Lean Six Sigma theory which is combined with Lean Production and Six Sigma,has been practiced in many industries currently and is successful in many cases.It can bring to the enterprise“Lean speed” and “Six Sigma quality”,thus achieving reduction of cost,improving quality,increasing the purpose of benefits and making the enterprise maintain the core competitiveness to satisfy the need of the sustainable development of the enterprise.Optical manufacturing,as a pillar industry for the national economy,occupies an important status in the whole information technological revolution.Meanwhile,the requirements of the market for the performance of the optical products and the reliable quality are gradually increasing.In order to promote the optimization quality management concept of the optical manufacturing enterprises,improve quality management method,continuously improving the reliability of the optical product quality.The Lean Six Sigma theory is applied to product quality improvement and experience promotion process of G company of optical manufacturing enterprises to further improve the theoretical application and promote the product quality improvement practice in this research.Established in the specific work practice in this research,the quality improvement of the gluing lens reliability of the company was taken as the research object and based on the existing process of“DMAIC” in the Lean Six Sigma theory,After Leverage stage is imported into the process,a new process composed of six stage of Define,Measure,Analysis,Improve,Control and Leverage was formed,which is called “DMAICL”.The research determined the project by customer demands and identified critical processes through SIPOC diagram,then made statistics and analysis of the current data with Minitab to find the significant influencing factors for the failing of product reliability by implementing DOE experimental design.Immediately,the Lean thought and Six Sigma tools were used for improvement.Finally,the improvement results were monitored by SPC chart.Through the whole-process empirical research,it is proved that Lean Six Sigma theory is a advanced tool to improve the optical product quality and reduce product costs.Among them,the Leverage stage is an important step to effectively practice Lean Six Sigma Theory and promote the formation of enterprise quality management.The successful practice of the quality improvement of the gluing lens of G company can not only promote the application of Lean Six Sigma Theory in the optical industry,but also provide experience reference for other similar enterprises.In addition,the study found that the following seven points are recommended to ensure the success of Lean Six Sigma theory application: 1.Selecting the right item for more accurate promotion;2.Paying attention to stage review for timely evaluation and summary;3.Based on data analysis for more objective improvement;4.Attaching importance to skill training and enhancing personnel capacity;5.Allocating personnel reasonably and strengthening team building;6.Pursuing decisionmaking balance based on the system perspective;7.Innovating enterprise culture and strengthening spirit cohesion.
