An Empirical Study On The Impact Of Producer Services Agglomeration On Manufacturing Productivity In Hubei Province

The producer service industry uses high-end production factors as the main input,and has the characteristics of informatization,technology,and intelligence,and can promote the reconfiguration of factors such as knowledge and human capital among enterprises,thereby helping the manufacturing industry to achieve structural transformation and realize industrial innovation.,boosting manufacturing productivity.Therefore,this paper focuses on the theme of the impact of producer service agglomeration on manufacturing productivity in Hubei Province.First of all,in the introduction part,put forward the research question,research meaning and method,research idea and content,main innovation and deficiency.Secondly,this paper sorts out domestic and foreign literature and related theories,and lays a foundation for the subsequent establishment of theoretical analysis frameworks.Thirdly,the agglomeration level of producer services and the total factor productivity of manufacturing in Hubei Province were respectively measured,which paved the way for subsequent research.Next,construct a theoretical analysis framework for the impact of producer service agglomeration on manufacturing productivity,and put forward eight research hypotheses.Finally,using the panel data of Hubei Province from 2008 to 2019,the panel regression model and the panel threshold model are used to conduct an empirical study on the proposed hypothesis,and analyze the research results.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The specialized agglomeration of producer services has a positive effect on the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry through the path of scale effect in the early stage,and hindered it due to the congestion effect in the later stage.In the early stage of diversification and agglomeration,due to the unreasonable allocation of various resources,it cannot have a positive effect on the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry.However,as the degree of agglomeration deepens,the former can provide comprehensive services for the latter,thus promoting the development of the manufacturing industry.(2)Using the method of bilateral tail reduction and adding interaction terms,it is found that the benchmark regression results are robust.(3)In the process of specialized agglomeration of producer services,the fluctuation of manufacturing total factor productivity is mainly due to technical efficiency,while in the process of diversified agglomeration,both technical efficiency and technological progress have an impact on changes in manufacturing total factor productivity.contribute.(4)The agglomeration of scientific research and technical services has a positive pull of 0.308 on the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry,followed by information transmission,software and information services,which have a pulling effect of 0.156,both of which can stimulate the manufacturing industry to achieve innovation upgrade.The agglomeration of leasing and business services can provide leasing equipment,consulting services,legal services,etc.for the manufacturing industry,which can improve the management level of the manufacturing industry and thus play a positive incentive role.The coefficient of financial industry agglomeration is 0.0354,but its positive strengthening effect is not significant.The agglomeration of transportation,warehousing and postal industries has a certain hindering effect on the total factor productivity of manufacturing.(5)With the gradual improvement of the level of informatization,the promotion effect of the specialized agglomeration of the producer service industry on the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry has gradually increased,and the promotion effect of the diversified agglomeration has changed from insignificant to significant.When the city scale crosses the threshold value,the impact of the specialized agglomeration of producer services on the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry becomes stronger,and the impact of diversified agglomeration changes from an obstacle to a promotion.
