| Submarine optical fiber cables is an important method of communication in contemporary international arena,and the main medium for information exchange between countries.Over 95%of international data in the world is transmitted by submarine optical fiber cables.With the rapid changes in information technology,human society has entered the information age,and new economic forms represented by "Internet+" are emerging.At present,the world’s submarine fiber optic cable communication network construction is facing equipment replacement and renewal,entering a period of great opportunity.In this context,the submarine fiber optic cable industry ushered in a new round of investment boom.China’s involvement in the submarine fiber optic cable industry is relatively late,but due to the policy support,technology accumulation and market demand,the development is quite rapid,building a solid foundation for digital infrastructure.At present,the domestic submarine cable has been successfully deployed and put into operation in many regions,the future will usher in the era of large-scale networking.In the domestic and international markets under the huge demand,the domestic submarine cable manufacturing enterprises capacity pressure gradually,most of the original production problems of enterprises outstanding,how to improve the overall efficiency of the enterprise production line equipment,but also become the current imminent problem of each enterprise.This paper investigates the current situation of HL company by using literature method,data analysis method and case study method to find out the problems of long product production cycle and failure to meet customer delivery requirements in the production process of submarine cable.With the help of value process mapping(VSM)tool to summarize data on the above problems and organize and analyze them,it was concluded that the biggest problem of HL’s submarine cable production line is the low overall production efficiency of the production line,and the bottleneck process was identified.In order to figure out the problem of low overall production efficiency,it is necessary to analyze the Overall Equipment Efficiency(OEE)of all processes,classify and quantify the problems,and find that the reasons for low overall equipment efficiency are low equipment availability,low equipment performance start-up rate,and low one-time pass rate of products;finally,according to lean production theory,root cause analysis was conducted using physical flow chart,action analysis,fishbone diagram and other tools to find the root causes The root causes were:low skill level of production personnel,equipment performance cannot meet production requirements,raw material quality is not up to par,production process is not advanced,workshop process layout is not reasonable,etc.For the above root causes,combined with theories such as Total Quality Management theory and TPM equipment management theory,according to the principles and objectives of the development of the improvement strategy,the improvement plan for the comprehensive efficiency of production line equipment was proposed,including:skill training for operators,multi-skilled work types,core separation,"Total Equipment Management TPM",sound quality control of raw materials and independent quality management,optimization of bottleneck production process,re-planning of workshop layout,etc.The improvement program aims to achieve the effect of improving the Overall Equipment Efficiency of HL’s submarine optical fiber cable production line.The submarine fiber optic cable production line equipment comprehensive efficiency improvement program has a positive effect on the production line to improve product quality,improve production efficiency and enhance the company’s overall strength.And it provides a new way of thinking ideas for industry friends to analyze similar problems that occur in the production process of enterprises.However,because there are few academic articles related to this industry and HL is in its initial stage,there is still much room for improvement,we will continue to try our best to achieve perfection. |
