General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,"accelerate the construction of the new western landsea channel".The overall spatial layout of the new land-sea corridor in the west consists of the main channel, the core coverage area and the edge extension zone.Construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor. It is conducive to giving full play to the supporting and leading role of the channel in the coordinated development of the region.Accelerate the cultivation of economic growth poles inside the channel,Promote highquality development in the western region. Therefore, under the background of the construction of the Western New Land-Sea Corridor,to explore the spatial characteristics and influencing factors of the economic connection network of the Western New Land-Sea Corridor. It is of great significance for the rational construction of the new western land-sea channel and the promotion of high-quality development in the western region. In this thesis,90 prefecture-level cities in the western land-sea new passage area are selected as the research objects.First, the statistical index system construction method is used to construct a comprehensive urban quality evaluation system in four dimensions: overall economic quality, economic development foundation, economic and trade level, and city scale. At the same time, determine the shortest time distance, and use the revised gravity model to calculate the current status of economic connections between cities in the new channel. The second is based on the matrix data of the economic link strength of the new land-sea channel in the west.Using social network analysis, visualize the characteristics of cyberspace, individual cyberspace characteristics and overall cyberspace characteristics. The spatial evolution characteristics and internal differences of the new land-sea corridor in the west were analyzed. The third is to use QAP analysis and geographic detectors. The influencing factors on the spatial characteristics of the new channel economic connection network and the degree of economic connection affiliation were analyzed, and the differentiation analysis was carried out.The results show that,First, the strength of economic ties in the western land-sea new corridor area is generally low,but the overall strength is constantly increasing. The regional economic connection of its high-value axis is relatively stable, and the central city is closely connected with the surrounding cities.Second, the network structure of the new channel gradually becomes compact and complex, and the overall network structure characteristics are transformed into rationality. From the perspective of individual network space characteristics, cities in various regions perform well in terms of network centrality and structural holes.Among them,Chengdu,Chongqing, and Xi’an are the main ones, which are at the center of the network. From the perspective of the overall network space characteristics, the network density development in the western land-sea new channel area is relatively unbalanced, the internal average core value level is low,the degree of resource aggregation is low,and the internal cluster phenomenon of the channel is significant.Third, for the influencing factors, the characteristics of cyberspace are greatly affected by the city’s geographical location, complementary industrial division of labor, urban outward function, and marketization. The degree of economic affiliation is greatly affected by the level of transportation development and physical geographical factors. Finally, based on the research conclusions, this thesis proposes countermeasures and suggestions for optimizing the new channel economic connection and cyberspace:The first is to give play to the diffusion effect of central cities and cultivate sub-central cities. The second is to establish a channel development axis and improve the level of interconnection. The third is to improve infrastructure construction and improve the comprehensive service capacity of the channel. The fourth is to break the barriers of urban units and establish the direction of regional development.Fifth, promote the formation of a unified market and stimulate the vitality of market entities.Sixth, innovate economic and trade exchanges and cooperation, and build a high-level open system.
