Research On The Mechanism Of GVC Upgradingin Advanced Manufacturing Enterprises Based On Servitization

The development level of advanced manufacturing enterprises is an important manifestation of the competitiveness of a country’s manufacturing industry.In the process of embedding into the global value chain(GVC)distribution of labor system,Chinese advanced manufacturing enterprises have made remarkable achievements in technological innovation and management innovation.However,with the repatriation of manufacturing industries from developed countries in Europe and the United States and the catching up of advanced manufacturing enterprises from other emerging economies,the imbalance between supply and demand and the lack of growth faced by Chinese advanced manufacturing enterprises are further accentuated.How Chinese advanced manufacturing enterprises seek to break through the double dilemma of "high-end blockade" and "low-end squeeze" and quickly achieve GVC upgrading for deeper development has become an urgent problem to be solved.As a method to broaden and strengthen the value source and value-added capability of manufacturing enterprises,servitization has been regarded as an important direction for manufacturing enterprises to achieve transformation and upgrading.Therefore,it is important to clarify how China’s advanced manufacturing enterprises can use servitization transformation to achieve GVC upgrading for the development of China’s advanced manufacturing industry.Based on the research results of domestic and foreign scholars on servitization and GVC upgrading of advanced manufacturing enterprises,this paper firstly defines the concept of GVC upgrading of advanced manufacturing enterprises based on servitization theory,value chain theory and smile curve theory,and clarifies the motivations and conditions of GVC upgrading of advanced manufacturing enterprises based on servitization,and takes the embedding and flow of service value in advanced manufacturing enterprises as the main line.The main line is the embedding and flow of service value in advanced manufacturing enterprises,and the three aspects of "service function acquisition","value chain structure optimization" and "enterprise GVC upgrading capability improve" are sorted out.The GVC upgrading process of advanced manufacturing enterprises based on servitization is explained.Secondly,this paper identifies and verifies the dynamic capability,resource scheduling capability,market demand,and environmental conditions as the influencing factors in the GVC upgrading process of advanced manufacturing enterprises by using the root theory and structural equation model,and examines the strength of each influencing factor to identify the key influencing factors.Further,this paper constructs a model of the mechanism of GVC upgrading in advanced manufacturing enterprises by servitization through theoretical analysis,and empirically analyzes the mechanism using econometric models and economic statistics.Finally,based on the findings of the previous study,this paper proposes strategies to guarantee the GVC upgrading of advanced manufacturing enterprises based on servitization at the enterprise level,industry level and government level respectively,in order to promote China’s advanced manufacturing enterprises to climb to the high-end of GVC as soon as possible.
