| In the four decades since China’s reform and opening-up in the 1980s,China’s manufacturing industry has developed by leaps and bounds,especially in the past 10 years,the added value of the manufacturing industry has increased from 16.98 trillion yuan to 31.4 trillion yuan,accounting for nearly 30%of the global share.But in recent years,the anti-globalization trend,which started with the China-Us trade war,has become increasingly serious under the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine situation.At the same time,the disappearance of demographic dividend,resource shortage,environmental protection policy,middle income trap,rising cost of production factors and other factors in China also lead to the domestic economic environment facing many changes in the change of development mode.As the cornerstone of manufacturing in a large country and the main force of national economic and social development,many small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises are faced with numerous bottlenecks and difficulties In the current economic environment full of uncertainty.At the same time,the rapid development of science and technology is leading the change.The future has come,and mankind will soon cross the information age and come to the age of digital intelligence marked by emerging technologies such as digital technology,ubiquitous network,cloud computing,and artificial intelligence and,big data.The change of external political and economic environment and the development of new technology in the age of digital intelligence bring the change of market demand,forcing the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises to seek survival and development.After more than 20 years of development,Z Company is a state-level high-tech enterprise integrating R&D,production and sales services in the medical device industry.Its main business is to provide ODM contract manufacturing services for domestic and foreign leading enterprises in the industry.The change of internal and external business environment,the impact of emerging technologies in the digital intelligence era and the existing problems in the development process of Z Company all force the company to transform and upgrade in order to achieve better survival and development.This paper takes Z Company’s current practical problems and dilemmas as the entry point,combined with the domestic and foreign environment of small and medium-sized contract manufacturing enterprises,and the actual situation of forcing the transformation and upgrading of enterprises under the digital-intelligence era,through the transformation and upgrading of contract manufacturing enterprises,digital-intelligence era,intelligent manufacturing,digital economy,digital-intelligence drive new growth and other relevant theoretical literature and analysis tools are carefully reviewed and studied.After deeply understanding the current theoretical research status and development trend of the transformation and upgrading of contract manufacturing enterprises in the digital-intelligence era at home and abroad,firstly,summarize and analyze the internal and external environment of Z Company,and summarize the main external opportunities and threats faced by the company,as well as the company’s current strengths and weaknesses.The external factor evaluation Matrix(EFE)and internal environmental factor Evaluation Matrix(IFE)were used to analyze and evaluate the external factor and internal factor respectively.Secondly,it focuses on the detailed investigation,research and analysis of the development process,current situation and difficulties and challenges faced by Z Company,and sorts out the practical problems faced by Z company.Combined with the background of digital intelligence era,it uses SWOT tool to make strategic decision analysis,and finally chooses the multiple path of transformation and upgrading strategy for Z Company,which are as follows:firstly,transformation and upgrading to a multi-business service manufacturer(MBSM)with ODM as the main;Path two is to transform and upgrade to the laboratory high-end medical equipment private label manufacturer(SOBM).And formulate practical implementation plan.Finally,in order to ensure the effective implementation of the transformation and upgrading strategy,this paper has formulated specific and effective safeguard system from six aspects:organization,system,talent,technology,finance and culture.This paper is expected to provide theoretical guidance and practical reference for the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized contract manufacturing enterprises such as Z Company in the digital intelligence era. |
