| In the process of the vigorous development of the digital economy, the field of digital trade has shown strong competitiveness.Compared with traditional trade,it has stronger resilience and can withstand the downward pressure of the global economy. In the face of the impact of COVID-19,it can reduce the time and space restrictions on trade.Digital trade covers a wider range of areas, including not only visible "exchanges" but also invisible"exchanges".In particular, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the digitalization of trade objects and modes has greatly increased, which has also become an important aspect of economic recovery and development of countries. At the same time, although digital trade is in the initial stage of development,it brings new opportunities for China’s trade development. The rapid development of digital trade in China’s Yangtze River Delta region has a huge role in promoting economic development. Therefore,it is of more research and reference significance to explore the factors affecting the international competitiveness of digital trade in China’s Yangtze River Delta region. This paper first defines relevant concepts and explains relevant theories, and analyzes the development status of digital trade in the Yangtze River Delta region through the scale, scope and relevant policies of digital trade.Secondly, the international competitiveness of digital trade in the Yangtze River Delta can be quantified more intuitively by constructing the evaluation index system of digital trade competitiveness. This paper selects the data of three provinces, one city and each city in the Yangtze River Delta region, namely Zhejiang,Shanghai,Jiangsu and Anhui, and calculates the Michaely volatility index(MI)and the international market share index(MS)of digital trade in each region respectively to analyze the development level of digital trade in the Yangtze River Delta region, and obtains the digital trade in this region.MI index is taken as the explained variable in the regression model.Based on the development status and current level of international competitiveness of digital trade in the Yangtze River Delta region, this paper studies the influencing factors of the development of digital trade in this region. This paper takes digital trade as an emerging industry and selects the diamond model of industrial competitiveness of China as the theoretical basis. From core competitiveness, basic competitiveness and environmental competitiveness, eight first-level indicators and thirteen second-level indicators, the step-up regression analysis is carried out. Finally, based on the empirical results, this paper makes suggestions from the macro and micro aspects. From the micro perspective,it provides guidance for improving the construction of digital trade infrastructure, cultivating comprehensive digital trade talents and strengthening the digital transformation of industry. From the macro point of view, the optimization suggestions are made on the security system, the openness of digital service trade and the activeness of participating in the formulation of digital trade rules. The innovation of this paper is that when studying the competitiveness of digital trade in the Yangtze River Delta region, the diamond model of China’s industrial competitiveness is adopted by Professor Zhao Yanyuan, and the Porter’s diamond model is more suitable for the research limitations of the international competitiveness of developed countries. The Yangtze River Delta region is chosen to study the influencing factors. On the one hand, the relatively complete data in this region can reduce the uncertainty of model research;on the other hand,as a relatively developed region in China, this region has strong researchability and representativeness of digital trade competitiveness.Based on the theories related to regional economy, such as economies of scale and external effects theory,it provides a new research perspective for digital trade and provides a theoretical basis for other provinces and regions in China to improve digital trade. |
