The Study On The Effect Of New Regulations Of Asset Management On Business Performance Of Commercial Banks

The release of new asset management regulations will inevitably have an impact on bank wealth management and commercial bank business development.Based on this background,this thesis selects the unbalanced panel data of some commercial banks for 12 years from 2010 to 2021 as the sample for statistical analysis,Use the method of Differences-in-Differences(DID),takes the ROE as the main explanatory variable,takes the new asset management regulations as a quasi-natural experiment to construct a policy issue dummy variable,and uses the interbank business of commercial banks as the basis for division to construct a bank classification dummy variable,Take GDP growth rate,total assets of commercial banks,TAT,CAR,as control variables to study the impact of the implementation of the new asset management regulations on the business performance of commercial banks.Through empirical research and analysis,it has been found that the new asset management regulations have a negative impact on the operational performance of commercial banks.This article believes that although the new asset management regulations have had a negative impact on bank operating performance in the short term,they have a positive impact on bank business development in the long term,which can help commercial banks find the correct direction for business transformation,focus on developing new intermediate businesses,promote the improvement of quality and efficiency of wealth management business,and assist commercial banks in improving operational performance.Finally,future research prospects were proposed.The research in this article can to some extent help commercial banks understand their operational performance after the new asset management regulations,and also provide some reference for improving their operational performance;At the same time,it can also provide certain research results and verification basis for the impact of the implementation of new asset management regulations on the operational performance of commercial banks.
