The No.l central Document continues to focus on the work of the three rural areas for 18 years,the No.l central Document in 2022 points out that we should grasp the work of "three rural" ,focuing on promoting rural industrial development and comprehensively promote rural revitalization.Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone is a key area for the development and opening up for the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and it’s also an important base for supplying agricultural products in China,the development of rural industry in the lake is of great importance to Hunan Province and even to the whole country.In recent years,the ecological environment of Dongting Lake Eco-economic Zone has been seriously damaged,which also poses a serious threat to the ecological environment and social economy of the lake area has been the focus of academic circles.Based on the these,the paper takes the Dongting Lake Eco-economic Zone of as the research object,deeply explores potential problems,proposes targeted countermeasures according to local conditions,and promotes the sustainable development of rural industry in the ecological and economic zone of Dongting Lake.Firstly,this paper reviews and summarizes the classic domestic and foreign literature from three perspectives: eco-economic zone,rural industrial development and eco-economic zone industrial development by reading relevant literature.Next,the concepts related to rural industrial development and the basic theories related to economy and industry are explained.Then the current situation of Dongting Lake Eco-Economic Zone is summarized from four aspects:geographical location,ecological environment,social economy,and rural industrial development.Overview,combined with the existing research on rural industrial development,and taking 25 counties(cities)and districts in the Dongting Lake Eco-Economic Zone of Hunan Province as the research objects,and selecting their data from 2012 to 2020 as the research samples,to measure the level of development of rural industries in the lake area from four dimensions :rural ecological and environment capacity,agricultural products industrial system,agricultural multifunctional industrial system,and agricultural support industrial system.The entropy method was used to measure the rural industrial development index of 25 counties and districts in the Dongting Lake Eco-Economic Zone from 2012 to 2020.The development of rural industries in the Donting Lake Eco-Economic Zone was analyzed in the time dimension using relevant data from 2012 to 2020,while its spatial evolution was analyzed by using GIS.The following conclusions were drawn: In terms of changes in the time dimension,the overall level of rural industrial development in the Dongting Lake Eco-Economic Zone shows an upward trend,with an increase of 43.65%,rural industries are gaining momentum.The rate of development is Agricultural Products Industry System(1,2698)> Agricultural Multifunctional Industry System(1.2502)> Agricultural Support Industry System(0.4208)>Rural Ecosystem Capacity(0.2392).In terms of changes in the spatial dimension,The overall level of development is on the upper end of the scale,with a range of2.3036 to 4.3718 for the composite index,with the highest and lowest values distributed in Wangcheng District and Anxiang County respectively,indicating a higher level of rural industrial development in Wangcheng District.At the same time,we selected a special town,He-Long Lake Town of Xiangyin County,to conduct field research and interviews to analyze the current situation of its industrial development and to provide experience for the development of rural industries in other regions.Finally,combining the actual development of rural industries in the Dongting Lake Ecological and Economic Zone and the conclusions from quantitative analysis,we propose an optimization path for the sustainable development of rural industries in the Dongting Lake Ecological and Economic Zone from four dimensions.
