| In recent years,the global economic situation has undergone drastic changes,coupled with unfavorable factors such as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,global energy shortages,supply chain crises,and geopolitical disputes,all walks of life have suffered a huge impact,and business operations have faced varying degrees of difficulty.At the same time,enterprises are also facing rising cost pressures."Open source" and "saving expenditure" have become necessary strategic tasks for enterprises to survive and develop in the current economic environment.Enterprises’ demands for cost optimization are higher than in the past.As the main responsible body of enterprise costs,the purchasing department is also facing unprecedented pressure.Therefore,it is urgent to seek innovation in management methods to meet the challenges of the new economic situation.For multinational enterprises,affected by geographical differences and cultural differences,the headquarters’ procurement management for subsidiaries is more complex.How to find the optimal way of procurement management has become a major issue for procurement managers of multinational enterprises.In the actual business of many multinational companies,procurement management optimization has been proven to bring significant efficiency improvements and cost reductions for companies.Therefore,it has important theoretical and practical significance to study how to optimize the procurement management of multinational enterprises.This paper focuses on the optimization of procurement management in multinational enterprises.First,by sorting out the research results of scholars at home and abroad,it discusses the application of procurement management theory and business process reengineering theory in enterprise management,and analyzes the characteristics of multinational enterprise procurement management;The questionnaire survey method summarizes several prominent problems in company G’s procurement management,including:(1)lack of coordination between strategic procurement and operational procurement;(2)too many internal and external communication paths,and low efficiency;(3)supplier performance appraisal Lack;(4)Lack of cost management,etc.Thirdly,it is concluded that the reasons behind these problems are mainly due to the imperfect procurement process of Company G,the lack of internal and external information sharing mechanism,the lack of supplier assessment mechanism and the lack of comprehensive procurement cost control.Then,study how G company’s procurement management optimization project solves the above problems.Then,it analyzes the guarantee factors that G company’s procurement management optimization can be successfully implemented.Finally,a comparative analysis was made on the improvement effect of the optimization project,such as:(1)the procurement process was improved;(2)the internal and external communication efficiency was improved;(3)the supplier performance appraisal mechanism was established;(4)the procurement cost was greatly reduced,etc.This paper has important reference significance for domestic and foreign enterprises that are preparing and optimizing procurement management,and also has certain reference significance for domestic enterprises preparing to "go out" to do well in cross-regional procurement management. |
