The integration of information and communication technology into the economic,social and human lives is becoming more widespread,andthe communication industry’s creativity is intensifying.This has led to a heightened need for communication equipment providers to create new products.The technical challenges of R&D projects in the communication sector are considerable,yet to meet the swiftness of market demand,the construction period is very stringent,making project scheduling a challenge.By reading domestic and foreign literature,this paper analyzes the characteristics of RC Communications company R&D project,and extracts a schedule management scheme suitable for RC Communications company R&D project.Firstly,based on the literature comparison of several progress management methods that have emerged,analyze their advantages,disadvantages,and suitable fields.Secondly,it analyzes the status quo of R&D project management of RC Communications Company,and summarizes common factors that affect the progress of R&D projects,such as communication problems introduced by cross-department cooperation,resource conflicts,and many uncertain factors.According to the analysis results,this paper adopts the key chain technology to construct the RC Communications company’s R&D project schedule management scheme,which includes five steps:(1)Use the work decomposition results to decompose project activities,and then use the three-point estimation method and expert judgment method to estimate the project activity duration;(2)According to the logical relationship between each project activity,use the double code network diagram to draw the project initialization schedule network diagram and determine the critical path;(3)Considering the resource constraints between project activities,draw the optimized project schedule network diagram and determine the initial key chain;(4)The three factors of risk elasticity coefficient,duration ratio of project activities and impact factor were introduced to set the buffer size,the safety time of each project activity was removed,and the input buffer and project buffer were inserted into the project schedule network diagram to determine the final key chain;(5)Develop five-level buffer monitoring table to dynamically control project progress.Finally,the scheme is applied to the D R&D project of RC Communication Company,and the feasibility of the scheme is demonstrated through the implementation effect.This paper’s research is anticipated to aid RC Communications in enhancing the advancement management of research and development projects,taking into account resource restrictions,thus allowing the project to be finished on schedule.Offer a benchmark system for other firms in the same sector.
