The Study Of Development Model Of Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration By The Gravity Model

With the quickening of urbanization and urban modernization drive in the whole world, urban agglomerations will be gradually focused by more and more people as the important and unique area in urbanization process. At the beginning of the new century,Henan Province Party Committee and Henan Province Government have brought forward a strategic conception that we should carry out the regional center city promotion strategy ,speed up the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration . It is a vital research subject on how to understand and keep to the strategy all–sidedly scientifically ,respect the common rule of the world urbanization consciously ,adopt the experience and precept from the developed countries and China progress,and search after the new thread and new method on impelling the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration ,as especially adopt the formation and development experience of the mutual city-group in the world,for the administration and theory researcher.Through the research of this essay, these may help to the coordinated management between every key city of urban agglomerations in Zhongyuan,rapid harmonious development of regional economy, and the constant improvement of the regional urbanization level.In 2004, the cities'governments of the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration had extended the boundary of developing stratagems to"Two hour economic circle". Thus, this requires rebuilding the scope of the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration so as to determine the space development model, impelling the economy and society development of whole region in the eleventh five-year plan.First,"the quality of cities"was confirmed with symbolic methods, double meaning of"the quality of cities"based on the fruits of pre-scholar was expounded, the economic index of synthetic economic force of cities was established. Secondly, the principal component analysis has been used in this study. The procedure as follows: Step one, data were collected in order to create the economic index of synthetic economic force of cities. Step two, the quality of the cities being chosen was measured in order to analyze their development of economy with the principal component analysis. The Gravity Model was used to research the radiant scopes of cities. Step three, the formula of gravitation was amended and model of log-linear gravitation was erected,so the scope of space should include next 12 cities:Zhengzhou,Luoyang,Kaifeng,Xinxiang,Jiaozuo,Anyang,Pingdingshan,Shangqiu,Zhoukou,Heze,Jincheng and Zhangzhi . Lastly, determine the space development model were determined. Policy and advice were brought forward on the basis of the space development model .Through the case study of development model of Zhongyuan region, these hope to enrich the development theory of urban agglomerations in our country, and can provide successful experiences for other urban agglomerations.
