Research On The Social Responsibility Of Private Enterprises In The Post-Epidemic Era

As an important part of social and economic sector,private enterprises shoulder the mission of developing social productivity,and are tasked with stabilizing social and economic development,improving people’s happiness index,providing material products and creating economic benefits.While coping with the economic shocks in the post-pandemic era,the private businesses have also been presented with both new opportunities and challenges.These challenges have made private enterprises more closely connected in social,political,economic and environmental aspects.Under the guidance of the new development philosophy of innovation,coordination,green development,opening-up,and sharing,the fulfillment of social responsibility of private enterprises must also adapt to the environment of the post-epidemic era and respond proactively to the expectations of the society.The analysis of the survey reveals that the development of the social responsibility of private enterprises in China is growing overall,but it is still in the initial stage of development.There is still much to be improved for the government to guide and promote the private sector to better fulfil social responsibilities.The urgency of the post-epidemic era requires us to pay attention to the fulfillment of social responsibilities of private enterprises,and to guide and intervene from the perspective of public management.This paper studies the social responsibility of private enterprises in the post-epidemic era.With the new development philosophy of innovation,coordination,green development,opening-up,and sharing,social responsibility pyramid and other theories are used to study enterprise Q,the research object,above designated size in city H and its corporate social responsibility performance.Firstly,the background and significance of the study are analyzed,and the necessity of this study is established;Secondly,the research at home and abroad is reviewed,and it is found that the relevant research on social responsibility in China is still in the process of learning and aligning with foreign theories.However,the content and application of corporate social responsibility management in China is more extensive and more practical and public policies play a pivotal role in promoting private businesses to fulfil corporate social responsibility.This paper also expounds on the concepts related to corporate social responsibility,stakeholders,post-pandemic era and clarifies the content and theoretical basis for analysis.Thirdly,in the analysis of the existing social responsibility-related evaluation reports in China since the epidemic,the status quo of social responsibility of private enterprises and the current situation of local governments’ promoting social responsibility performance are reviewed.Then,the social responsibility of Q enterprise in the post-epidemic era is studied.Through questionnaires and interviews,this study analyses the current situation of corporate social responsibility performance since the virus broke out,the existing challenges and external factors behind including challenges in government,society and so on.Finally,measures that should be taken to improve the quality of social responsibility performance of private enterprises represented by Q enterprises in the post-epidemic era are recommended.Countermeasures cover the following areas: government,society and enterprises.From the perspective of management,government should work to improve policy effectiveness to resolve public crises caused by the pandemic;it also suggests improving the external environment in the post-epidemic era,actively collaborating with other stakeholders to play out the advantages of collaborative governance and comprehensively promote the fulfillment of social responsibility of private enterprises.As far as private enterprises are concerned,they should bear the whole picture in mind,give full play to their own advantages,assume social responsibilities,participate in social governance in the post-epidemic era,and realize a new social governance pattern featuring co-governance,contribution and shared benefits.
