| Promoting the development of rural industrial integration is an important measure to build a modern agricultural industrial system,as well as an indispensible choice for the prosperity of rural industries and farmers in the new era.It is also important for the enhancement of rural endogenous development impetus and the achievement of urban-rural coordination.Farmers should be regarded as the main body in the process of promoting rural industrial integration.Meanwhile,as an important external factor, the farmland transfer also impact the effect of human capital on rural industrial integration. Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to clarify the action mechanism of human capital on rural industrial integration from the perspective of farmland transfer. This paper follows the main line of “theoretical analysis-current situation analysis-regression analysis-conclusions and recommendations”.Firstly, based on the existing theories, the author clarify the internal and external action mechanism of human capital on rural industrial integration, and analyzes the role of farmland transfer in this influential mechanism.;Then, based on the data from 2009 to 2020,the level of rural human capital and industrial integration in China’s provinces are measured, their change trends and distribution characteristics are analyzed; On this basis, the panel fixed effect models are constructed to empirically test the promotion effect of human capital on rural industrial integration as well as its heterogeneity, and the panel threshold effect models are further constructed to analyze the nonlinear mechanism of human capital on rural industrial integration from the perspective of farmland transference. The research draws the following conclusions:(1)Theoretically,human capital accumulation promotes rural industrial integration through internal and external effects, and farmland transference affects the effect of human capital on rural industrial integration by promoting moderate large-scale management and building benefit linkage mechanism.(1)From 2009 to 2020,the level of human capital and the level of rural industrial integration in China’s provinces both appeared an overall upward trend, and their regional differences were both obvious.Their measurement results appeared a certain degree of similarity in the change trend and regional distribution.(3)Improving human capital can significantly promote the development of rural industrial integration, and this effect has obvious heterogeneity. From the perspective of regional heterogeneity, the promotion effect of human capital on rural industrial integration is most maximal in the east, followed by the middle, but not significant in the west and northeast. From the perspective of heterogenous management scale, the marginal effect of human capital on rural industrial integration is significantly positive in the two groups with larger per capita farmland management scale, while negative and insignificant in the other two groups.(4)The effect of human capital on rural industrial integration exists a double threshold effect based on farmland transference rate. The higher the range of which farmland transference rate is,the greater the role of human capital in promoting rural industrial integration. At the same time, the proportion of farmland transferred to each type of agricultural business entities has single threshold effect. As the proportion of farmland transferred to peasant household exceeds the threshold, the marginal effect of human capital on rural industrial integration declines; As the proportion of farmland transferred to cooperatives or agricultural enterprises exceeds the threshold, the marginal effect increases. Finally, based on the research conclusions, the paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of rural industrial integration, including five aspects: improving the level of rural human capital, establishing and improving the rural human resources service system, improving the institutional system of farmland transference, accelerating the cultivation of new agricultural business entities, and improving the implementation of other supporting policies. |
